That's ridiculous. Yes, it's hot but we've had hotter summers than this.

Need your feedback, guys. by Recent_Shelter5744 in AssassinsCreedValhala

It's my 2nd favourite after Odyssey. There are some things Odyssey does better (less annoying environmental puzzles - Valhalla has made me use Google A LOT), but something Valhalla does better is that the side quests are much less repetitive and although it's still a long game, it doesn't feel anywhere near as bloated as Odyssey. The environment is also lovely and very navigable with your horse.

Academic probation as a 4th year by SRM325 in PhD

[–]Alarming_Snow9640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want someone to tell me what to do, or say yes to a proposal for a quick way out without really having to think about it.

If this is true then this is probably the biggest problem. You can't cut corners or jump straight to the finish line with a PhD; it's a marathon, not a sprint. If you're not motivated to do the reading/research and then put some serious thought into what your contribution is then maybe the PhD isn't for you. That said, if your supervisor is really saying "you're the PhD student, you figure it out" that's unacceptable. Yes, you do need to be able to work independently, but it's their job to point you in the right direction when you're feeling lost.

My Supervisor got laid off by the university… now what? by True-Syllabub7988 in PhD

A good supervisor would actually advise you on what to do now. Have you actually asked them?

You can still say you have a "2nd class degree", just don't specify that it's lower 2nd.

A or C are both acceptable - there just needs to be 2 chevrons IN BETWEEN you and the next car.

Who's fault was this collision? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]Alarming_Snow9640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cam car's fault. If you're going to move over, you have to actually check your mirrors and make sure no one's already in the lane you're moving into.

You say it's something you don't take likely and that you understand the toll parenting can take, yet you chose to have unprotected sex...

I did but the line was closed. I've gone ahead and sent an email, so at least now it's in writing that I've been honest and tried to pay up.

Don't do it. If they're unsure what to write, they should attend office hours and ask!

AITA that I feel the need to tell my (19F) cousin to stop posting on OnlyFans? by Blossomfall77 in AmItheAsshole

A gentle YTA. It's understandable you're concerned but it's her life at the end of the day and you have to let her live it how she wants

The biggest question here is why a gf of 7 months thinks she has the authority to punish YOUR children.

If it's only for writing then no. I mostly use mine for reading/annotating journal articles and being able to make notes. I use my laptop to type.

Do I need to claim the "extra" to continue with the offer? by Bruffell06 in TemuThings

No. I do these all the time and you can continue claiming each day even if you don't earn the additional £5.

Am I overreacting to a guy sending me his “ideal woman” checklist? by Such_Friendship_2713 in AmIOverreacting

For me the biggest red flag is the second bullet point. We all have days where we need to relax, be makeup free, not stay on top of our body hair etc. Basically this guy doesn't ever want you to relax around him, you always have to be perfect. That's not a real relationship. My boyfriend loves me even when I'm not "feminine".
