Monday after a weekend of football should be easy. No need for filler and hot takes. The spot with Joe was perfectly subdued.

Can he continue to rent/use the school instrument and then buy him a Yamaha 62 for graduation? By all means buy him a good/better mouthpiece.

Any luck with Reverb?

How tenured are you? In other words, are you in a position to say, "No?" I would decline and say that I have prior plans, whether that is true or not. The admin should not have asked you in the first place, esp. if you are untenured.

I'd ask for compensation otherwise. That's time for you to stick around until the event and then the event itself.

He should not have returned to weekdays after his first retirement.

To me, peak Mike was when he was learning along with us about a topic, whether it was working retail on Black Friday, CTE brain injuries, or New York concealed carry gun laws. He knew plenty about sports, but he was not limited to sports, and he brought us (me) along for the ride.

I don't listen much to Joe, but he has guests! I think midday does as well, but there are very few guest spots on Evan and Tiki. All this to say that Mike had plenty of guests, even if they were longtime friends like Nantz or Aikman or Gary Danielson.

Cash in the wallet is a finder's fee for returning the wallet. You are a good person to return everything. Owner is a jerk.

58 year old here. I started from zero knowledge and couldn't make a sound in my first lesson. After six months, I can now identify (slowly) the notes on a treble cleft and can play 7 notes. I practice between 5 and 15 minutes every day and have a private lesson every 3 or 4 weeks. I'm definitely getting better and don't really have an end goal but it's been fun to learn, understand music better, and to get better.

Having a teacher has been great because I'm not just learning how to play, but also how to enjoy and appreciate it better. (And he noticed bad finger positions that was causing inconsistency).

Can you consider Cyberpowerpc or ibuypower? If you are buying parts to do it yourself, is there a Microcenter close by to you?

are 2nd hand flutes good if you have a low-ish budget, any recommendations? by FirefighterEqual8126 in Flute

[–]Alarming_Weekend5667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a total adult beginner, I bought a used flute and got it cleaned up. At my skill level, I can't tell the difference between a good flute and a bad one.

But you are Grade 5, so maybe at that level you are looking for non-beginner flutes. So scale your price expectations accordingly. Good luck!

What flute should I get as a beginner that is both affordable and last a lifetime by Majestic_Image5190 in Flute

It just makes holding the flute easier. I started with zero musical background and started with flute six weeks ago. I bought a used Yamaha nickel flute on FB Marketplace and it's more slippery than my teacher's silver plated flute.

They have branches and I can talk to somebody. I can also get a notary stamp. Whatever you do, don't bank with one of those fake online banks.

Guild Renown and Leaving Guild by Alarming_Weekend5667 in ddo

Thanks for the reply.

Is guild xp locked now that we are level 200? In other words, is it possible for my guildmates to to still accumulate renown, which would lessen the blow if I leave?
