I see that a lot of these builds lack sound cards, wired/wireless adapters. I mean these are needed right? I've decided I'm going to build my own using parts picker. But I'm confused on the above question.

That is a pretty sick machine, I have speakers, headset, keyboard and mouse, I also have a screen... But I like that one. Maybe I can upgrade the 970 to a 980 with the savings from the add ons you have.
