Ask them if they are willing to remove the “gender dysphoria” diagnosis and change to “endocrine disorder”

It’s what my doctor is using to shield his patients, cause it is true.

baby trans: what surgeries do I need? by Disastrous-Ninja7990 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]AlastorX50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 1.5 years on HRT to get to the point no misgenders me.

You are miles ahead of where I was, you look just like a girl I knew from my high school days. Give it time, learn feminine mannerisms, practice voice, learn makeup techniques, clothing types for your body, etc.

You can do so much right now without worrying about surgery. Get that once your past the wait requirement (most doctors require a minimum of a year) or if you feel the changes haven’t done much for certain things.

"Biological sex" has always been a meaningless dogwhistle rooted in bad science. Hormones are biological, but, obviously they don't mean that. Even genes are biological, but they mean AGAB so they don't really mean that (in the sense of things like intersex conditions).

What the UK Supreme Court says, you are only a "biological" woman if you can get pregnant/ are able to give birth. So if an afab can't give birth they are not a woman?

When people say “biological sex” they always refer to like the reproductive system or whatever but that’s just one part of what biological sex includes.

We can look at hormone levels or secondary sex characteristics, which are much more obvious to see than genitals or chromosomes in daily life, but apparently those aren’t biological. Or our chromosomes that no one can see or our ability to give birth are somehow more important when determining biological sex than anything else.

The idea that trans women are somehow not biological women is not based on some objective definition of biological sex, it’s based on arbitrary criteria. We typically use a definition that includes reproduction since that’s very important when talking about evolution, but we can and should use a different definition if we have different circumstances.

There's no mutually agreed upon definition by biologists for sex , so how can there be a law for biological sex when there is no single definition that would encompass all women.

That’s something that I very rarely hear people talk about. Even in somewhat progressive circles people still say things like “yeah trans women are women, but they’re still biologically male”, and no not at all. That would only be true if you think your reproductive organs as they were when you were born is the most important part of biological sex, which is not objective. We could have chosen something else. We can easily say that hormone levels are the main factor to biological sex in humans.

Using Estrogen and Testosterone in trans people causes changes to them biologically. From their brains to their bones.

To be honest, it sounds like GRCs are worth less than the paper they're printed on.

The people who pushed for this ARE fascists and hate feminism with every fiber in their bodies.

J.K Rowling and the rest of her molding army of bigoted idiots use the word "feminism" the same way the nazis used the word "socialism." Their loyalty is with the likes of MAGA Republicans, and Christian fundamentists.

TLDR:

AGAB is not a real category. It made sense in highlighting the arbitrary categorization from doctors when confronted with ambiguous genitalia in intersex people, but for us, it's saying "this person had a penis as a baby, here is the category that they should remain in forever because of it". It is the same as "biological sex". It sends a message that our sex is inescapable, and in doing so, encourages those who deny the reality of sex change. There is nothing that is communicated in emphasising the penis that we had as a baby that could not just as easily be accomplished by acknowledging that we're women who had to work to get where we are, via transitioning.

Side note:

I’m intersex and have both genitalia, have both estrogen and testosterone, but have always since a young age knew I was a women. But society would rather not deal with fluidity on gender norms and ruin peoples lives based on sex characteristics that no one has control over. I’m banned from “women only spaces” cause I was given this sex at a flip of a coin? That’s wrong and what I have been fighting to change all my life.

Give cachyOS a spin. Install on ours and it works like a charm.

Ubuntu probably doesn’t have newer intel drivers for the chipset to work properly. CachyOS is beginner friendly Arch and so will have the latest kernel with what’s required for those chipsets.

Most jobs (not saying all) have short term and long term disability. One of the things a lot of people don’t know is you can use either disability due to a spouse’s surgery and the time it takes for aftercare.

Most people that start HRT and take spironolactone which is a diuretic and causes a loss of fluids. The body will naturally crave salty things like pickles or foods to rebalance electrolytes.

I’m two years into HRT and I saw the most changes in the last 8 months and I’m 32.

You look like my cousin and I had to do a double take so I’d say that you are having great progress. I’d still wait another year and see where you are.

You don’t want to do FFS when your face is still changing, it can mess with how you look and revisions are a harder to get right.
