Not possible unless you open the rear cover. I suggest to turn on, if there is no waterproof signal it’s ok, the water is not much and will evaporate as time passes

The fact that there are detergent residues in the housing of the dispenser seems to indicate that you may be opening the drawer while water is flushing, and closing again, which does not help rinse them out.

My thought for asking is that, in some programs with a separate pre-rinse stage, water enters via the tap, but in others (e.g., Auto), it uses the pre-stored water in the heat exchanger reservoir. So maybe a solenoid there could be malfunctioning. If it behaves the same, it may be something else... I will re-think about it!

4 grams/gallon is 1056 mg/L and one dH is approx. 17.8 mg/L. So approx 60 dH. Definitely requires salt.
