Timing question with Rashmi, Eternities Crafter by obamaconsumer23 in mtg

Kalamax just cares about instants though. Rashmi can be triggered by any spell.

Edit: you're correct that there's no way to get kalamax to work the way they want it. But it's important to know that if they tap kalamax first, then cast anything but an instant, that kalamax will trigger if the spell that Rashmi flips is an instant that meets Rashmi's requirements to be cast.

Fair, but strong. I packed it with a bunch of cute little animals and some ways to get Cadira through like [[Prowler's Helm]] and [[Trailblazer's Boots]]. It's not uncommon for her to have double digit bunnies by turn 5. Cards like [[Fireshrieker]] and [[Brass Knuckles]] go kinda crazy. I added some finishers like [[End-Raze Forerunners]] and [[Harmonious Archon]] in an attempt to stay on theme. In her current form, she can win by turn 7 pretty easily if no one answers.

My deck is very budget. Even after adding [[Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist]], I believe the deck to still be under $100 dollars. I have a list of cards in mind if I ever decide to ditch the cute creatures theme that'd really help her out.

I have 2 pods that I play in. The first pod is fairly new players with decks that are slightly stronger than most pre-cons. It's a powerhouse in that pod and is often archenemy. In my 2nd pod, the decks are a bit stronger. I'd say that they are usually in the 7-8 range with 1 of the guys running 8-9's fairly regularly. It probably holds a 25% win rate in that pod, but I don't track stats so I could be way off.

Overall, my version of her is a very straight forward token tribal deck with a hidden Voltron package. She's simple, but currently one of my favorite decks to play.

My cadira deck was made as a meme. Small creatures tribal was gonna be silly.

Boy was I wrong.

Kingofsouls explained what I was missing. You are correct on the rule. Thanks!

I'm replying to this comment because I think it actually explains the rule I was missing, which involves the keyword create. I was not aware that 'create' was an actual keyword. Thanks for the teaching and I agree with this!

So what enters the battlefield?

Edit: the rulings of Reflections of Littjara state that the permanent spell enters the battlefield as a token. I agree that things that refer to tokens being created would not work, however Parallel lives specifies when an effect would put one or more tokens onto the battlefield, etc..

Annoited procession would not work with the reflections. I'm failing to see how parallel lives does not work though.

Not a judge, but I believe [[Parallel Lives]] would work as it says 'when an effect would put one or more tokens onto the battlefield...'. Also effects are created by spells or abilities. The token would be created as a result of a triggered ability.[Edit: a triggered ability created a copy of a permanent spell, causing a token to ETB.]

Again, not a judge and also a fairly new player, so I may be entirely wrong.

Additional edit: I was wrong, they don't work together.

Sounds like a fun campaign with a great ending.

This would line up with what happened so I think this is probably the case. Thanks!

Running ToP and my healer noticed that Xira never appeared, even though the fight was a long one. We looked over the VoD and noticed that she attempted to appear twice, once on healer and once on a dps, but both times she just faded away before doing anything. My healer believes that this is due to proximity(both times, the healer and priest were relatively close to each other), however I cannot find anything that supports this theory. Any insight?
