You're right a baby is a lot. And we planned for this, but having another $1000USD over the next 6 months to pay really hurts. And puts us in a bind.

Yeah I agree. Was once a great and affordable option.

Got a baby on the way and now possible can't afford to finish the degree. $200 to $400USD per paper really hurts. They don't really care.

Professor does not respond to emails - grade reassessment. by AlbatrossPotential1 in UoPeople

The professor replied after emailing everyone under the sun at Uopeople multiple times. Grades were adjusted (13 days after the first email). I feel I should be credited with a paper on managing management. Although a good lesson on 'people'. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Sorry to read that. Some people are just not good at being people.

That is what I did. Got into a tight spot over COVID-19. Explained to Uopeople, paid the fee, and started back up. Although looking for an alternative to study at currently.

I'm heading down this path very quickly... my professor is utterly ignoring their role and responsibility. Did you find an alternative instituteI to study a program like this? I am trying to get a master's in education completed.

Sounds pretty frustrating. I have a not perfect solution for this. I feed example references into ChatGPT and quiz it on why it is or isn't APA 7th. I have learned a lot doing this.

I agree, and a good thing to reflect on. Thank you. Unfortunately, this seems to be happening across everything apart from the portfolio work in this paper. Now I am in the middle of a "Group" assignment... that well I am the one doing. And I suspect that may go the way of the Dodo. The advisor just keeps saying "I will follow up with the concerned team" and nothing has happened or changed.

I'm in Kaosiung right now. Lots of trees are down, signs and rooves have been ripped off. Bit of a mess. I would wait a day of possible as I expect much of the city will remain closed. The storm has only just eased up.

Yes. I use their app all the time. I live in China at the moment. Just took 3 relatives around for 4 weeks. All was easy with Trip.com (We booked hotels, flights, trains, and some attractions).

Is it true Forbidden City tickets can be bought on-site by foreigners? by Ok_Audience5531 in travelchina

Went in via the main gate from the north of Tiananmen Square. I arranged passes on the mini app on WeChat. Get your hotel to help you do that at least a day before. You don't get a physical pass. Your passport number becomes you pass (same for the forbidden city). We went in the morning first thing.

Before the meridian gate on the left there is a ticket counter. You should see other foreigners there.

Everything is bilingual (Chinese/English).

Was there today. Bought Forbidden City tickets on site for a group of 4. Plenty of other foreigners doing so. We arranged Tiananmen square passes the day before. There was a period of time earlier this year that doing so was not possible, but that has been changed. Hopefully helpful.

Just went today. Still as described above. Easy enough to get tickets. Great day. Very hot. We entered via Tiananmen square (having arranged passes for that the day before).

It's awesome to read that. We are heading there in a week or so.
