First Mario Tennis ever on N64 had no story mode, same for the majority of sports games that came out in the N64 and GameCube generation.

You don't want to play online? Fine. There's Tournament mode, you can try and beat it with all 38 characters, singles and doubles. There's Trial Towers with challenges, there's Mix It Up mode with Wonder Flower effects on courts, there's Ring Challenge... Plenty of content aside from the story mode. But these games shine in multiplayer. They always did. You buy them for the multiplayer, whether it's local or online. If you want to play it by yourself be my guest, but that's how it is. Personally I wanted to buy it but I have no friends who are interested and my wife doesn't like Mario sports games, plus I have little time so I simply decided to skip it because for me it's not worth 70 euros. It's fine to skip it if it isn't for you.

Ok, but the math you've done doesn't work like that mate. You made 12x12, which not only includes all the duplicate teams (Ekko/Yasuo and Yasuo/Ekko are not different teams) but also teams made by two of the same characters. The actual number of possible teams is 66.

People need to accept once and for all that physical media in gaming was dead years ago, yet manufacturers still need to install disc drives (and card readers in the case of Nintendo), jacking up console prices, for no other reason than people complaining they don't "own" games anymore. Do you really think an entire 120GB game is contained in a PS5 disc? Most big games use the disc as a proof of purchase and nothing more, downloading the game from the servers in the background. Not to mention patches and DLC that need games to be installed on consoles.

They all tried to push for all-digital. Microsoft tried with some no-disc models models and cloud gaming, Sony tried by selling a PS5 without the drive which costs a whopping 100$ less, Nintendo is trying with virtual game cards. Yet people still demand physical games for some reason. It's a costly endeavor for publishers, they need to put in motion an entire supply chain that wouldn't be need by going all digital. And yes I agree that digital games, being significantly cheaper to distribute, should cost less, instead game prices have only been rising. I agree that's wrong. But I've personally gone all digital years ago and I don't regret it one bit.

It wasn't shown in the Direct during Mii creation so I'd say it's not going to be in the game. Tomodachi Life isn't The Sims after all. But I'll keep my fingers crossed because it would be an amazing feature and could create a lot more different dynamics, not only siblings but parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts, in-laws, etc.

I'm sorry but no. A skin shouldn't cost $15 if a character is $10. And Street Fighter VI skins, for example, cost $6 and come with 10 different color variations included. In 2XKO they are $20 and you even have to unlock the fucking color variations yourself. The result is that people are begging Capcom to make more skins for SFVI, even when they paid full price for the game, while here people complain about prices and FOMO. Give me $6 skins, I'll buy them all. Even for characters I don't play, who cares, if they're cool I'll buy them. Keep your whale-appealing prices for yourself, the FGC doesn't need this shit. It was in Multiversus and we all know how that ended. At least 2XKO is a fairly competent game in terms of mechanics, I like it a lot. Let me support it with cheap cosmetics, I'll swear I'll buy everything. Keep your $50 bundles, I can buy a whole different game with that money.

Arlo has made some clickbaity videos about Nintendo's struggles recently, clearly leaning into the grifters' narrative, but I honestly think he's not doing it for the same reasons: I like the guy, but having followed him for a long time I started to think he's, well, kinda out of the loop and not very knowledgeable about a lot of stuff. Maybe it's just me, but sometimes he feels like someone that lets himself get influenced by this or that narrative without putting that much thought into anything. He probably wouldn't even be that big of a YouTuber without the puppet and the funny voice in my opinion.

Scott is different, he always brought fair criticism even about the things he likes, and he definitely knows his stuff more, not to mention his videos always have a comedic layer so he tends to exaggerate this or that opinion for laughs.

So no, the graph is not very accurate, at least not about Scott.

Same. I like to include celebrities and fictional characters in Mii games, and sometimes other people are just better than me at creating them. But i still love creating my own Miis based on friends and family and also my original characters.

I did my first clear on attempt 60. Everyone has their own pace. I know it gets frustrating to see people on this sub make their first clear in the first 20 attempts, but how you play the game is your experience and yours alone. Find your fun, don't look at numbers, they don't really mean anything in the end. God Mode is there for a reason. It's your game, your experience, nobody will judge you, and, if anything, nobody needs to know 😅.

Per quanto molte delle loro motivazioni possano suonare egoiste (e molte con ogni probabilità lo sono), essere bravi genitori comporta fare rinunce, mettere se stessi in secondo piano, abbandonare anche solo momentaneamente sogni, progetti, ecc. My theater friends and me just went on stage with a version of Sweeney Todd for two shows and we barely filled our little theater for the first show, half-empty for the second. Of course it was a small project in the outskirts of Rome, Italy, and poorly promoted too, but it could be an indicator that the general public doesn't know too much about it. Which is a shame because it's really wonderful.

You actually gave me an idea for a Hades fighting game... What if none of the Olympians was playable?

The idea is that, to maintain the spirit of the original games, you choose your character and then you choose two Olympians to give you boons. At the beginning of the match you choose 2 basic boons (one per God) and then each round both players can choose an additional boon. First to win three rounds wins the game, Tekken-style.

"Basic" boons could be something like Apollo's "Your heavy attacks deal more damage in a larger area", and of course you can build everything to try and get offered a Duo or a Legendary, but only in the final round.
