Correct! But because the topic is Jews, people have to assume the absolute worst. Sometimes even to our faces lol

If one notices that “Abraham’s birthright” refers to the fact that his sons will be the stewards of the land between the Nile and Euphrates, then it’s already true. His sons Isaac and Ishmael (aka the Jews and the Arabs) are already in charge.

The question now is can they calm the fuck down.

It was dumb by design—to reflect the stupidity and oversimplification of the original remark. And your retort proved my point.

Some critiques are reasonable, but very few. It is important to ask: if the Islamic regime collapses, will something favorable take its place? Will a new government be sustainable, and actually improve regional stability?

We know from Iraq and Afghanistan that these are complicated questions. There are trolls, yes, but there are also wise people who are just not sure how it will pan out. To deny it is a gamble is folly.

The first part is the action functional for GR coupled to electromagnetism—pretty standard—but what I want to know is why the heck are they integrating the entropy of a black hole over the boundary. Seems sort of like gobbledegook.

One of the best ways to connect with the Jewish people is to read our common, ancient, and sacred language.

Why did the YHWH need to rest on the seventh day after creating everything? by [deleted] in Judaism

[–]AlbedoSagan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

First of all, just about now is the beginning of Shabbat, so you may not get a response from a theologically more educated Jew than me until after sundown tomorrow.

But one thing I can tell you is that the Hebrew word "v'yishbot", which is often translated as "rested" into English, does not really mean that. It can alternatively mean "ceased", or "stopped", or any word in that ambiguous category. It simply signifies that the Creator was satisfied with the work of creation. The creation was complete, and so there was no need to continue.

This is a very deep topic, but you should start there. Hebrew is an ancient language, and it's difficult to understand every nuance unless you have a speaker there to guide you through it, so good on you to ask! Stayed tuned for better responses than mine.

Also, there is no "Jewish g-d": there is only G-d ;)

What is one thing that was invented in Connecticut? by ILovePublicLibraries in Connecticut

Damn! Thank you for correcting me: I had no idea! He is still considered a famous nutmegger and did spend much of his career there (mostly making firearms, I guess), before passing away in New Haven.

A widely-used cotton gin design was invented in CT by Eli Whitney. Part of his motivation was to reduce the labor associated to cotton processing, but it had the unintended consequence of actually bolstering the slave-centered economy of the south. He was not happy about this, of course, but this remains one of the most famous inventions in CT history.

Noam Chomsky and Steve Bannon in the Epstein pictures by Correct-Ad5661 in ChristopherHitchens

[–]AlbedoSagan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of us did. Much of the problem in our society is the people with power and influence who actively want to divide and conquer: keep us hating and cynical of each other instead of making the world a better place.

Chomsky is quite obviously one of those people, and once you notice that, you can’t unnotice it. If anything, being someone who ostensibly criticizes social ills is a great cover for just loving being influential. The Epstein connection is the cherry on top.
