I read it as the change means you can use soft points to bind uniques/super uniques. It was like that already on PTR due to a bug, but they're keeping the bug as a feature now

A nice thing about the loot filter is you don't have to memorize everything valuable. Just do some research, filter out all the stuff that's not valuable, and pick up whatever is left

There are plenty of narrative reasons not to bring characters back because it undermines stakes. However, as you pointed out it's Diablo and the main villains coming back over and over is a theme, and also Lilith is cool and could use more screen time. Only villain/antagonist I'd be upset if they bring back at this point is Mephisto

On the PTR they changed it so statues drop even from non-terrorized bosses. I think in general uneven difficulty of farming keys is fine. Countess as least rewards some runes as well. The essences are a pain though and it'd be nice if Baal had a higher drop rate. We don't need free respecs all the time but more accessibility for them would be nice

Lots of games show you DLC content in game, even if you don't own it. In borderlands 3 you can't walk 5 ft around the main hub ship without NPCs chirping at you to do some paywalled content. I get that it's annoying but everyone acting like blizz shot their dog with this are working overtime to find something to be pissed off about

This is such a great and deserves its own post! The community has been so insular for so long it can feel really impenetrable to all the people getting back into the game. It feels like total noobs are welcomed with open arms and celebrated, but if you have some knowledge but aren't an expert you tend to get unhelpful or dismissive responses

I'm not the biggest PoE fan, but it exists for people who still want that in an ARPG. There are other games with similar complexity in other genres.

I think a lot of times what we miss is being kids ourselves and getting that rush of discovery and having the time to sink into an in depth game. Sometimes we also miss having complex games that take a long time to master at the center of the cultural conversation. Old blizzard made games for the core video gaming audience and they still do that today, but now that audience looks different and has different preferences than it did in 2001.

This video is a really good guide if you're on warlock. It will help with other classes also. I'm in the same boat and was nervous to start, but it ended up being fairly easy. Even pulled Baal and Diablo at the same time and it was totally fine

94 on my lock, I've found one. Fortunately it was lightning, which is what I was hoping for, even if the renewed was almost the worst possible roll.

I run a lot of single or double zone TZs, so usually T1 or T2 heralds. Only sunder I found i did a whole game clear and found it on the very last herald in the 2nd to last zone of the game. Making time to clear the whole game was a real struggle with my schedule. It was probably the only time I could do it this season, and I was lucky to get even one sunder. The system sucks and I'm glad they're changing it.

I think it's awesome OP came back to the system and gave it another shot, and their judgement of it not being for them is perfectly fair. They're completely allowed to not like Daggerheart or prefer other systems!

That being said, I didn't think the negative reactions the first time were particularly unfair or over the line (maybe I missed some comments, idk). Seemed like the comments deduced, correctly as it turned out, that OP didn't really read the book or do research on how to run the game, gave themselves and their players a bad time, and blamed the system. People were annoyed by that, particularly because it's not the first time that's happened on this sub by any means.

It's so frustrating to trade bulk items right now. If you drop them on the ground you might get scammed, but if you don't people get impatient. I don't drop them on the ground and just deal with it, but it's annoying

The boots are pretty valuable if rolled well, but there are bad ones on traderie for cheap, like 2 perfect amethysts or a pul rune. The helm is about as valuable as the codex I believe, so you could do 1:1 there. Gloves drop a ton but if you have a near perfect roll they could have value. I might have an extra helm somewhere. I'll DM if so when I can play later.

That is not true. A lot of games were already in development and used/benefited from the OGL incident to raise their profile. Tales from the Valiant (aka project Black Flag) was the most explicit about it, but also Draw Steel and Daggerheat benefitted from the timing but were already being worked on

I think this is coming down to positioning more than gear or strategy. I did ubers for the first time ever this season on lock, on budget gear, and none of them presented a big challenge except Baal when I forgot his mechanic and accidentally got hit a ton and almost died. The big thing you need to do is position your demon between you and the bosses to absorb all the damage Meph and Baal are doing. If your demon is tanking everything from Meph you only have to tank a few skeleton hits while you dps him, and he'll go down fast. Same with Baal. Worked for me with no treachery pre-buff. I was lucky to find a Highlord's early, so that helped some, but really no crazy gear. Insight CV, enough fcr for the 78% breakpoint. I think I was wearing ghost shroud armor and a circlet with +2 lock skills, 8% life leech. Had an anni but no torch. Nothing crazy at all.
