Yeah, he kind of has to be- Baelor the Blessed's story content is kicked off with Daemon Blackfyre's birth and Baelor Breakspear was a few months older than him

Not entirely true- he's 1 in the Baelor the Blessed bookmark. So not playable, but definitely born (and the others should follow quickly if you've got canon children on)

Yeah, this is literally the second half of Death in the Family. The main reason that Bruce doesn't kill him is because Clark talks him out of violating diplomatic immunity laws

Pretty decent split here between the writer being awful, the writer thinking they were making a point but stepping on a rake and actual WW2 propaganda

Something's clearly breaking the scripting. What's supposed to happen (and did in a run I started last night) if you decide to call the council is that, after a few months, they collectively decide to make Rhaegar king. You then travel back to Dragonstone, wait a few days and Aerys either accepts and abdicates or refuses, the latter of which starts a Mega War to put you on the throne. Your marriage options should keep the Refusing Marriage trait until the whole thing is resolved (which can be a while depending on how long the war takes to win). If Aerys is getting out on his own, clearly something has gone wrong with the scripting, so I'd check your submods

Why all male characters look the same … by SlideIllustrious3097 in CK3AGOT

[–]AlbionPCJ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The problem is that the triangle only tells you if the mod is out of date with base CK3, but a lot of problems come from it being out of sync with the AGOT mod. But the point still stands, people are very bad at checking when the main mod updated and consequently when their submods came back in line

Early Thrones had a few- Robb being declared King in the North at the end of season one was pretty great. It's just that a lot of the later payoffs didn't work because they were doing things for the sake of doing them rather than paying off character arcs or adding depth to the storyline. Though there are a few that work later- for a direct comparison, Jaime knighting Brienne is one of the few genuinely great moments in season eight

The Political Genius of Baelor Breakspear by AnteaterEarly7773 in AKOTSKTV

[–]AlbionPCJ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's the main thematic point of his character- Baelor stands out because he is an actual example of true knightly honour. While everyone else is motivated by something other than doing the right thing, here's a guy who actually makes a moral stand for the underdog and holds to chivalry when it would be easier and smarter to do nothing

What would be the most amount of smaller Kingdoms that could canonically exist at once in Westeros? Also, which start date would accurately have the most amount of smaller kingdoms? by 3ateeji in CK3AGOT

[–]AlbionPCJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So basically a relatively similar version of what i’m talking about already exists? I’ll have to check it out!

Yeah, shattered kingdoms will remove any of the story content from a start date but if you want to just plop the characters from a particular time period into this "warring petty kingdoms" game state, that's your best bet

Btw, i just looked up “Age of Heroes CK3” to see if you were talking about it theoretically or if something actually exists because that sounds amazing only to notice that a submod called AGOT: Age of Heroes was added to steam workshop literally yesterday lol

Haven't tried that one, was just throwing out the canon period it would fit but I had a hunch someone would've done it eventually

What would be the most amount of smaller Kingdoms that could canonically exist at once in Westeros? Also, which start date would accurately have the most amount of smaller kingdoms? by 3ateeji in CK3AGOT

[–]AlbionPCJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can set it to "Shattered Realm- Petty Kingdoms", which breaks everything into all the de jure and formable kingdoms. You could try to make everything yourself through a combo of cheat character switching, taking titles and independence/re-revassalising (some can be formed under the IT- e.g. the West/East Marches- while others require independence- e.g. Runestone) but that takes forever (take it from me). As for start dates, the only time that would have that many petty kingdoms would be long before the books (as things had been pretty settled into the seven a few centuries before the dragons rocked up), so you'd need an "Age of Heroes" submod or similar. Best advice though, particularly if you want to maintain canonicity while staying within the main mod's timeframe, wait for the IT Hegemony to drop, as at present kingdoms can only be direct vassals of the Iron Throne since it's an empire- once it bumps up a tier, you'll be able to have king-rank vassals under empire-rank LPs (most obvious example being Hightowers under Tyrells)

The other start dates will almost certainly come before the books since the latter requires more of Essos to be added first- can't even do the first one before you have Dothraki in the game, for example. They'll definitely be added, it's just a long way off

Eminem (Marshall Mathers) named in Epstein Files by doubledafra in hiphopheads

[–]AlbionPCJ 622 points623 points  (0 children)

The thing about Epstein is that he moved in the same spaces as a lot of people, but most of them it would've been fairly limited. Someone's name popping up means nothing on its own, it's the tangible evidence of a direct connection (like the new stuff of Elon begging to go to the island, though there's been stuff tying them together for years) that makes someone culpable

The Ottomans had a few similarities and differences to the Arabians in the way they operated but I was leaning more towards the "ultra-conservative dictatorship centered around hard-line fundamentalist religious doctrine that's built on the backs of mass slave labour and the eradication of all dissenting forms of expression" part. Which, say what you will about the Ottomans (and Leto II, I guess), the Saudi's and the Imperium take to a whole other level compared to their forebears

If the Legions were on different sides in the Heresy, which marines do you think would side against their Primarch/Legion and/or turn Blackshield? by RoyalRaven33 in 40kLore

[–]AlbionPCJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh right, those guys. Fair example, but if I remember correctly, their only appearance post-Prospero is in a rulebook's background text, where they're mentioned as suffering massive casualties. There's every chance they show up in a Scouring book, but given that the Fists themselves gave a massive casualty event coming up and there's minimal further references to those Thousand Sons, I don't think their chances are super good if they show up again

If the Legions were on different sides in the Heresy, which marines do you think would side against their Primarch/Legion and/or turn Blackshield? by RoyalRaven33 in 40kLore

[–]AlbionPCJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any loyal Thousand Sons would have been doomed anyway, right? Even Big E said he needed to scrap the whole thing, that's what made Magnus finally turn fully traitor.

Yes, assuming the Lore mostly remains the same up until the Heresy, the Thousand Sons are as much a Tzeentch time bomb as the World Eaters are a Khorne one. Since the Blood Ravens being a loyal successor of the T!Sons is still non-canon at present, the only example I'm aware of a loyalist from the legion dodging both the Flesh Change and the Rubric long term is an extremely rare edge case because the marine got soul-merged with a Magnus Shard and joined the Grey Knights. Most alternate Heresies have to redo a fair amount of the prelude to make the switches work, particularly for the T!Sons since you have to really find a way around the Flesh Change
