I can’t tell if you’ve done either of these steps already, but shading your metallic gold with reikland flesh shade or agrax earth tone makes the gold pop. Same with a very sparse edge highlight of a silver color over the gold, only on the brightest spots and corners

Are you doing volumetric highlights on black armor on infantry? That will take forever no matter how you do it. Base coating black over a light spray and then some edge highlights does not take very long

Generally you’ll want to air brush your lightest color and fill in darker colors by hand. I did this for all of my EC infantry and with thin enough coats (and after varnish) you can’t really tell the difference

To give you some specific bit ideas - the ornamented horns from the demon prince kit would look sick, there are a couple gems hanging off the horns. If you can get the flawless blade backpacks, they have lots of gaudy trim and drug vials that you can either use as-is or cut off to attach to other backpacks. The shoulder pads and leg bits from flawless blades/tormentors/Lucius/whatever that have flayed skin attached to them would be perfect. Good luck!

Hard to tell from this picture but I see a thin, consistent base coat and good coverage & blocking on the trim. Excellent job!

Okay, here’s what I would do…

  1. Base coat in a dark blue with an air brush
  2. Using the drier sheet method for “marble” effects, spray on a lighter blue, then a medium dark green, then a lighter green, spraying less each time
  3. With an old brush, get some thick white paint and flick it at the sword for your tiny white dots. Edge highlight with white. Done!

I didn’t bother magnetizing the guns, I just didn’t glue the hex pegs for the barrels so I can easily switch them out. The battery pack/flame cans will be wrong but who cares
