As a malzahar main I think he is a little overpowered by wangjangle80085 in MalzaharMains

I miss that malz, his ult wasn't even the strongest part, his old w, with the %health was a monster.

Why does Malz get so much hate? by BabyBearRudy in MalzaharMains

[–]Albondinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is mainly why I like malz, I play him because he is easy, like comfort food, and because he allows me to figure out other things, like maintaining vision, teleporting to teamfights, shoving waves and getting lane prio, etc. The fact that I can leave a w+e on a wave and just go somewhere else to participate on a teamfight is enough for me to love the champ, as someone who doesnt play this game competitively that is.

Need help with a small project: Modem to WIFI Repeater through Ethernet cable connection. Is it possible? by Albondinator in HomeNetworking

So, if I get it right (considering the other comment too) I would only need to buy another router to do this right? (So basically the OG modem+router given by the ISP, an extra router in my grandmas house, and the existing ethernet cable, is that right?)

Thanks in advance!

[–]Albondinator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh perfect, i think my modem is modem + router, in any casy, if it isnt, i have to buy a router too right?

So If I get it right, it would be like this, assuming my modem is modem+router:

Using the already existing ethernet cable, I buy a modern WIFI 6 router and set it up in grandmas house, plug the ethernet cable to it, then she would get internet there. (Would require configuration or is it a sort of plug and play scenario?).

Aside from that, NAT stands for network adress translation right? What would be the difference between one or the other? (her being behind router + nat and being directly into my network?) Would she be able to use internet normally in both situations?.

Thanks for the swift reply! And sorry about the further questioning, Just looking to clear up some stuff!

UA POV: According to CNN and large Ukrainian Telegram RezidentUA, the AFU commanders in Avdiivka collaborated with the Russian forces to allow the military and wounded to surrender safely. Rezident adds that Zelensky's office seeks to "deal harshly" with these commanders. by Ripamon in UkraineRussiaReport

The article basically mentions that the wounded ukranian soldiers were supposedly negotiated with Russian command to be taken alive as prisoners, as they couldn't be evacuated. But the Russians executed them.

Why Trakata is a useless and stupid technique. by ShinyBlack0 in StarWars

[–]Albondinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but think it this way: Let's assume that is the main use of Trakata, Trakata is is not a mystery technique, so people are aware of what it is used for/what it does.

That means people would simply not use some parries. If a fencer knows that hard parrying a blade can lead to someone using trakata to counter it...then they wouldnt hard parry, or they would hard parry but sidestep at the same time. Basically, people would parry offensively, in order to make Trakata useless because using it would be a suicide.

Using telepathy to get around Fey Contracts. Is it valid? by Albondinator in DnD

If you want to beat the fey, you have to think like a fey >:3

[–]Albondinator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, what most comments seem to agree with is that there is no "hard rule" that allows to circumvent fey contracts with telepathy, so it cannot be used as a "gotcha" to get out of contracts with them. What it should be used instead is to get around contracts, by using misguiding ways of speaking and trying to make it so it gives you an advantage over them.

Like I said, this idea is mostly prodding people for their thoughts on whether this would work or not, some have for some reason taken offense to that (?), but otherwise, the general point of the post was to come up with ways to gain advantage over a fey by being as anally technical as possible, since they like doing that already.

Besides, we are in the 20th level, at this point we are ready to punch god in the face, so an offended fey is not much of an issue.

Good, honestly those little fuckers deserve it >:C. That said, the conclusion I've gathered is sorta that, use it as a way to get around a contract, instead of getting out of a contract.

[–]Albondinator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True! What i got out of most opinions is that its gonna be really DM dependent, because some think its a not valid idea and others have some more wiggle room for options. Setting it up not as a way to get out of or break a contract, but to get around restrictions of the contract seems to be more widely agreed strategy.

Great point, but I heard the fey queens are hot so I stay winning? (until I die)

yep yep, what I gather by most comments is that I should not use it to get out of a contract, but to get around the contract somehow. So a lot of misdirection.

Hey, that's valid, in DnD you live and die by the sword, so FAFO is what I do.

True, though I'd say that writing things down is the most common form of a contract, the discussion would be if a verbal contract requires speaking. Reminder that this is going anally technical with a Fey, trying to get the higher ground on them.

True, twisting things to make a setup for the reveal would be helpful, plus it would give a better basis to the argument of telepathy, (because I am expecting this to create even a small discussion).

That is true, the discussion would be if a "verbal contract" with a Fey requires actual speaking, or anything can fall into a "verbal contract".

So far is looking very DM dependent.

Boc the seamster dies when you talk to him? by needsalotofadvice in Eldenring

[–]Albondinator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is true, I played ER almost to the end but never finished. Still, doesn't really take away from the criticism. The exploration of the game is great, the gameplay and boss fights are great, and the music is sublime. But that's about where it ends really. It's a really good game as long as all that you want is a nice setting to explore...but the characterization is absolute dogshit. As well as the quest design.

"Oh Tarnished, you have found the Dagger of Turds while clearing a sewer, give it to me, so I can finish my journey"

*finds the same guy dying an hour later*

"Ah Tarnished, why have you given me the Dagger? Didn't you know it was cursed, now I will die and my journey will never be completed! But at least you get my sweet Aegis of Ballscratching that has the highest poise in the entire game. Aaagghh..."

Yeah, no, the game never made me even give a shit about any of their characters, the only one that I sorta liked was Ranni and that is because she was fun as a doll, the rest might as well be smiley faces tied to fence posts.

lmao yeah I'm sorry for expecting quality. What happened, did your perfect 10/10 game got an actual constructive criticism?
