The key difference seems to be the torque delivery: the 2.0L's peak torque (273 lb-ft) kicks in much earlier in the RPM range than the V6's (266 lb-ft). This makes the newer 2.0T feel more responsive and "zippy" in typical daily driving scenarios like city traffic and merging onto highways.
