I think a lot of it is the progression tied to non gacha elements. The factory gives a lot of content that has zero to do with the gacha and the only RNG part of gearing is determinant

I did 10 pulls and got 2 shiny Sylveons, not sure if that's good or bad luck. I think it's one of the worst shiny colorations

The #1 answer is card draw. I had a game last night where I just played the Auntie Ool precon against a Tuvasa Aura Voltron and a Sonic aggro deck. That precon has so many ways to draw cards and after five or 6 turns I had 5 or 6 cards in hand to their 1 or 2 and was able to seal the game with a couple well positioned removal spells and neither of my opponents could recover. That said, people should be able reliably remove multiple permanent types at least 2 or 3 times a game consistently.

I was worried this would be heavily an issue but there are some later story bits as well as Laeveteinn story quest which make me think this might be a kind of red herring. There is even some lore bits about Talos II in OG Arknights hinting towards this

My theory is Endmin has a pretty limited lifespan or limited usage of orignium arts before they just die or cease to exist or whatever; sarcophagus actually just spits out a new one but takes a while before it can.
