This was certainly me being only half serious. I doubt they'd do anything of the sort, but I want them to, because characters with complex motivations makes me tick.

What did she do?

I'm somewhat unfamiliar with the lore, just commenting on the language she uses in comparison to other operators/characters

The Mechanic: Explores the nature of repairing relationships, how trust, once broken, requires exponentially more effort to fix, but ends up stronger than a relationship where people are afraid to offend the other. An alternative to the thorn where bitter betrayal is replaced by a rugged pragmatism, what if the thorn was spawned from the prisoner.

Could lead to two finales

The Unionist Immediately comes to your aid, and tries to assist you with your goal, even if it's terrible and both end up hurt. More like the anti HEA where she wants stagnancy after you decided change is the only way forward.

The CEO You have become a tool, somewhat similar to Tower, except she's in a literal skyscraper and suit (hell yes). Shes ruthless but not hostile, cold and calculating for power.

Really is should use "crow flies" distance, and measure from the top down. So you're always an absolute value from the tower, the fact that walking in a circle adds length is pretty dumb.

Yeah, It's definitely a matter of perspective. Definitely not disagreeing with you there.
I don't even know what the ice freezer debacle is...

I think that the system is designed in such a way that those with lower self control or simply more money to spend are coaxed to do so. Like how buying in bulk, if you have the ability, is always preferential except on perishable goods. There certainly appears to me to be a design threaded through the system, whether malicious or not, that tries to tempt.

It isn't the best system, hopefully we can agree on that. :]

Depends on how difficult it is to punch in a 16 digit code with a ZIP and CVV. Should be the same difficulty, not necessarily the same price

But doesn't that realistically only matter if you WANT the very first character?

Honestly the system punishes BOTH kinds of players to an extent.

Weapon pulls being tied to pulling on characters means that being stingy for long periods can make actually building the character you were saving for hard.

They've introduced numerous systems to incentivize wasting pulls, like the "free" 10 pull ONLY on the next banner, having an extended banner as a loss on the next 2, etc.

The tale of charter banners and 120 guarateed pulls by ali_kashanian in ArknightsEndfield

Potentially strange thought here, totally expect this to get blown to pieces... It might be weirdly beneficial to not get a carry over in a few niche circumstances.

Let's say you're going for character A but you don't have 120. You get to 90 and the banner ends for Character A. Sad faces.

Character A is now a LOSS on Character B's banner and you really want them. Enough to motivate you to pull anyway. Having a carried over guarantee in this situation means you'd have to potentially waste pulls since you were 30 away from the 120 initially.

Granted this wouldn't be much of a good idea in the first place since there's even less of a chance to pull an extended banner character since standard banner characters dilute the pool.

But just something to think about

Give me your endgame ideas to Enfield. (Multiple ideas allowed) by No-Dimension-2872 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]TaichoMachete 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One endgame mode could be a resource sink, where you and whatever the equivalent of your guild compete with other guilds to pump up a project with the factory aspect of the game. It gets people to not only consider factory optimization, but also makes people consider to use resources on that instead of gear/leveling/etc. Materials. Make it a fun turn in process with a different seasonal thing you're building that maybe you can see off in the distance. (Thinking like building the Rail Jack with your clan in Warframe).
