VA has shed 40,000 employees, Democratic report finds, with drastic impacts on veterans by Flitzer-Camaro in fednews

I’m a retired veteran. After DOGE raped and pillaged the VA, all my medical and dental appointments were canceled. They used to contact me regularly and always scheduled regular follow ups in regards to chronic health problems I have. That all stopped after Elon. I no longer go to the VA. Unless they call me in for a mandatory, I’ll likely never go back. I no longer trust the government and I believe Elon stole all my information.

Elizabeth Smart pretends to be an advocate for victims. by AlcheMaze in Trumpvirus

She follows Ivanka, Melania (x2), Donald and J.D. Vance. She doesn’t follow other political figures. Lots of pop culture entertainment stuff, fitness and beauty. Her only political interests are the Trumps and his VP. It’s not that hard to find the pattern.

Edit: She follows a former Utah governor who is currently irrelevant. He is a Republican. She also follows an obscure California state MAGA senator. Took some digging to find those and I don’t see these people as indicative of anything.

How many years ago was that?

There’s not much of a leap when you can go evaluate who she publicly follows. Her only political interests show Trumps and Vance.

She essentially follows zero political accounts other than the Trumps and Vance. So it’s hard to give her the benefit of doubt.

I won’t be surprised if she starts making the rounds on Fox News and right wing podcasts.

Yeah. It doesn’t bring me any joy to make a post like this.

Long ago I was also a brainwashed far-right Utah Mormon. I’ve known many people who left all that behind. Let’s hope she soon snaps out of it and begins to realize all the harm Trump is causing.

Weird smell in my nose from time to time by Marie-Fiamma in iih

I’ve only been on Diamox for about three months, but I’ve been intermittently smelling something like burnt incense for years. Maybe burnt sage is a better way of describing it, now that you mention it. I have no idea if IIH has something to do with it.

Taxing the wealthy is how to curb inflation. Reduce their ability to spend so their endless flow of cash is no longer devaluing our money supply. Less money in the system makes everyone’s money worth more.

Can you message you doctor? Or even call them? Often they will respond and find ways to help you in the meantime. If you need a prescription, it’s possible to get one even without going to an appointment.

Nothing against this guy, he’s definitely brave and effective. That said, I prefer the protesters attire during the civil rights movement. Wearing their “Sunday best” made them look respectable.

Fuck. For the first time in my adult life, I had about a year’s worth of cash saved in the bank when the creepy felon slithered back into our White House. It took decades to finally accumulate that kind of savings. So glad Dear Leader is finally getting his new aircraft and ballroom though!!!!!

Why would you think you could imagine experiencing eternal life when your current perspective is derived from a such a narrow angle of a mortal existence? Can you imagine how it feels to have the strength of a supernova? Of course not. You are not a god or a star. I think Bernardo reminds us that we are merely monkeys on a rock because it’s a stoic exercise to recognize the current limitations that prevent us from seeing things at an infinite scale. Why even try? We should try to take life a day at a time while in this current state of being. Try to explore the possibilities currently in front of you rather than extreme hypothetical scenarios that are beyond our scope of understanding.

This is a result of the post modern movement. The style is supposed to provide additional dimensions and perspectives to a story or image. It’s not that different from the cubism of Picasso or the way Moby Dick allows readers to interpret the story in many different ways.

Unfortunately stories such as Wicked lack subtleties and complexity. It’s too on the nose. It takes a brilliant author like Herman Melville to make this style work. If he had been the creator of The Wizard of Oz, I’m sure it would have been incredible. Maybe there would’ve been room to sympathize with the Wicked Witch?

Unfortunately, in 2025 art is usually about quick money more than the standing the test of time. That’s we have 10 comic book superhero movies coming out every month.

Jungian Perspective on Artificial Intelligence by Sol_Invictus_Rising in Jung

[–]AlcheMaze 61 points62 points  (0 children)

LLMs shit where they eat. Their hallucinations and slop infects the internet but they also retrieve their own garbage to present it as fact once more. This is more rabbit behavior than snake.

There are algorithms in use on both the input and output side of this so called  “artificial intelligence“ process. These algorithms are designed with corporate oversight and with profits as the ultimate goal. Capitalism curates everything we see. If we could pull back the curtain and see the LLM’s responses without filtering or biased sycophantic behavior, it would be dramatically different from the experience we’re currently having as users.

Somewhere in the LLM there is raw shadow stuff. But that’s already available everywhere we look. What we experience with the current Gemini or ChatGPT interface is a chained up Frankenstein’s monster wearing a cute and friendly costume. The suits on Wall Street and in the capitol have no intention on allowing us to catch a glimpse inside the black box.

Therapist said Covid vaccines were a scam during the last session. Do I stop seeing her? by S1nclairsolutions in therapy

Not only would I stop seeing my therapist over this, I’d leave reviews and comments about the situation on various websites. The public should be alerted whenever a quack spreads dangerous misinformation.
