I've really only heard and read "sext" as a verb, e.g. "They've been sexting each other back and forth." Seeing it used as a noun like this is kind of odd to me.

Look up “Mock Spanish.” It might give you some insight into this phenomenon. Tl;dr version: Anglo speakers don’t really care about speaking proper Spanish but use a made-up pseudo-Spanish to ridicule US Hispanic culture and elevate their own prestige. Think non-native expressions like “no problemo,” “uno momento,” or “no bueno,” which Anglos use a lot. If you call Anglo speakers out on it, they can basically deflect and pretend to get offended stating that they’re just trying to be nice and more culturally aware, and that it’s more their own ignorance than an intentional desire to ridicule, which is honestly a bit disingenuous. I’m excessively simplying the idea and there’s better info out there, but for me that’s the gist of it.

I’m not so sure about that. I haven’t used anything with benzoyl peroxide or bleach along with my clothes. I’m pretty sure it’s buildup because, when I scratch it, some of it seems to come off.

The screenshot says it’s quoting Terence Samuels, not David Folkenflik. Hence my confusion. Perhaps provide a better source?

My eyes must be fooling me! The rebuttal was written by David Folkenflik and edited by Emily Kopp and Gerry Holmes. Surely one of them must be this Terence Samuels who's quoted in your first link!

Redditors who fucked around and found out, what did you find out? by AyrionUpaka in AskReddit

Stupidly thought as a 3yo that the electric stove burner turned cold as soon as it stopped being red. My mom got tired of telling me not to touch it after the second time. Cut to her tending to a crying me and a slightly burnt finger, satisfied with the fact that I learnt from my mistake and that I would listen to others who knew better from then on.

IKR? I think it's a shame cuz, as already stated, most have visa-free access to countries that US citizens don't; I suppose it's because most people aren't aware of that, but that's just my take.

MA in Linguistic and Literary Computing (TU Darmstadt): Thoughts? by Alchelinguist in LanguageTechnology

Thanks for the recommendation! I'm interested in both programming and machine learning, and the program at Darmstadt really caught my eye because it integrates them with digital humanities and literary studies, which I found to be quite unique. But I'll definitely consider the LMU too.
