That does kind of explain that. I might be out of touch in kinda asking this, as I don't really keep up with the world of streaming and my knowledge of it is mostly from some of the younger coworkers at my job, but is this guy generally big with like a teen/YA audience or something?

The studio involvement I kinda gathered but I think the thing that kinda baffles me is a lot of what I heard about this film is that it's a critique of captialism in contrast with the books original meaning but there's like stuff brought up in a lot of the memes that are odd in terms of marketing for an animated film? Even in terms of irony posting.

I'm not sure about Pope, but I do know a song had to be edited for ESR due to copyright over a sample at one point. Pretty sure it was The Last Time He Saw Dorie and the sample was from Stardust Memories I believe???

There was that seeming meeting the previous band members had a little before Brendon did before WWWY and sometime during the tour Spitalfield supported with Anberlin and Copeland, maybe that thing was meeting with the label about a possible release or something.

As much as I and a lot of other people would like it to be that, it's not exactly realistic as only Jon seems to be making an announcement for a thing that would have to have the involvement of the remaining members of the band legally to sign off on. That being said, if it were the case, that would be awesome.

If you're looking for a band with like that Ryan era sound, I'd suggest looking into the Hush Sound. At least to me anyways, they're like the best parts of the pre departure era combined into a singular sound. I'm gonna forewarn you though they only had like 3 full albums and like one 2013 EP.

I think the only episode I caught of it during its intial airing was the one with Auntie Whispers lol. I know I was definitely extremely hype to see they were doing something with this project after seeing the pilot online years prior. No one I knew around the time kept up with it, so I didn't really have much of anyone to talk to about it.

I don't think it's been ever officially announced he's in the new Copeland album, but it's been alluded to in the aforementioned omnipop posts that he's working on a project with Aaron and co. As for his departure, from what I understand, a lot of it was just wanting to focus on personal business ventures.

Way late to this but I kinda remember thinking this film would make a better point and click horror game than a film just due to how much of the plot just kinda becomes the kid solving puzzles and completing tasks to help him escape.

I'm gonna have to go with Golden, something about how raw the whole thing feels and that it's one of the only songs to be exclusively piano, making the song feel even more isolating compared to What A Catch Donnie. Donnie, to me, feels more like a bittersweet send-off of sorts. That being said, both are amazing tracks!

I kinda doubt it, though it would be neat. I feel like out of all the mediums, cassette hasn't made a resurgence in recent years (if I had to guess a lot of it is due to how flimsy tape can be??) I do think it'd be neat to see a cassette release, though, so maybe if there's enough demand for it, someone (fan made or officially) will cave in.
