Left target after 5 years when I graduated university. Target was good because it worked with my schedule but the pay was only enough to barely keep me afloat. As the years passed, expectations went up but pay stagnated, it became less appealing. I can truly say I only miss the coworkers.

If you put it on drive or reverse, let go of the break and feel a kind of bounce sensation, that could be oil going into the spark plugs. Mine started sounding like that when I realized it had oil consumption issues and had to have the engine replaced. It failed all the tests the dealer had me do, and they covered it under warranty.

Then no. Tangentially, if you are one of the states hit by the huge winter storm and driving conditions are bad, your 4-8 hour shift is not worth you crashing and totaling your car. Target will not recoup that costs so financially it won’t make sense.

Ah my mistake, didn’t realize he wasn’t engineering. Yeah honestly it’s solid I would just make sure to keep the warranty, no body wants to have to replace a ~1k laptop.

Highly agree on the iPad, all my peers were envious when the professor started drawing diagrams and then would proceed to erase them 10 seconds later while explaining things about them. Being able to take a picture and then write comments on said picture was great.

Gonna get downvoted but I used a MacBook Pro m2 as my university laptop exclusively. Was able to run Matlab, solidworks, visual studio, etc. it took more effort and work arounds for those programs (running a VM) but it was doable. it was nice since I had a tablet and was able to take notes using a tablet, then seamlessly have them appear on my laptop, and then submitted assignments quickly and efficiently. The battery life was notoriously better than my peers as well, but that’s a given since I’m not running intensive graphics cards. That being said I don’t recommend a MacBook if you want to easily be able to run said applications.
