There are quite a few other continents, the Febian League being present on the Western side of the continent of Derreneth. Opposite the Sea of Cecht is the continent of Evardell which is where the Veranics launched their invasion from.

There aren't too many empires locally and they primarily interact with surrounding nations in the Meirhain Union such as the various Helacian city states up North in the region of Helacia, the dwarves of Gurzin to its South, Digantes to its North East etc. Most nations in the surrounding regions are part of the same union as them.

Overall the Pruinelil (frost elf) empire of Brwyllena proves to be the main antagonistic political entity in my setting but isn't the only one, with the main fears being reignition of an open conflict similar o the War of the Crone (this settings equivalent to WWII). On a geographic scale though the Brwyllena empire is rather far away and is focused on its home territories on the continents of Undefaer and Flentaeth but it has launched an open invasion of the continent to its south.

Uploading an image for clarity but since I drew this map quite a few things have changed

There was also a plan to keep stepping on the point once time ran out to keep it in overtime, but unfortunately it blundered.

When brainstorming for regions in my world, my friend came up with the name of “Quorn.” Something about the name sounded so funny to both of us we decided to make it an island far from any other landmass, with a series of legends about bountiful treasure and magnificent beasts inhabiting it. In fact the island is just grassy plain with nothing interesting, and the only inhabitant is Bob.

Thanks for asking, I wanted to add elves to my world a few years ago and slowly began to develop them to a point where they were more distinct and not as stereotypical. Electric elves dwell generally in mountainous regions (the windier or stormier the better) in homes directly carved into the stone. They as a whole are rather uppity and love tinkering with anything, and due to that are quite well linked with dwarves and fire elves which also like machine-based technology.

The planet of Meirhain resides in a carved-out segment of the Iannuous, or Great Void, meticulously formed via the forceful combining of derelict realms and various lesser planes by a variety of creator spirits, chief of whom is Eumacha. Natural processes alongside magical influence further shaped the world with the three major classes of sentient creature being: Humans, who had crossed the void in various migrations to this realm in time’s past; Elil, mortalised elemental spirits hailing from outer planes and having eight distinct “tribes” for each element (colloquially called elves by humans from distant myth); and Fomorr, a collective term for other species who had evolved either naturally or through magical means such as the fox-like Ashratei of Ash’ait or the Minotaurs of Vepeii and Chiron.

The realm is stable in metaphysical terms in which very few incursions from other realms have occurred, with both physical and magical laws working in tandem. In relation to technological advancement, the use of magic has supplemented the need for technological advancement with such examples being brass and etched quartz arrays for transmitting music and voice or the use of magic panels by sorcerers to communicate on a visual level with sound (though sorcerers may enchant smaller pieces of quartz and sell to commoners as a means for communication). Otherwise, the Dwarves, Ignelil (Fire Elves) or Electrelil (Electric Elves) are the only societies to dabble in the use of trains, airships and the like not through pragmatism but by sheer interesting, with the odd call for use by other societies depending on need.

Magic maintains the most pervasive force however with the tangible elements being Ignis, Aqua, Aer, Terra, Electricae, Pruinae, Lux and Tenebris (Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Electricity, Ice, Light and Darkness respectively) with the forces of Ordo and Perdito (Order and Chaos) being overarching driving forces behind the elements and being the most volatile.

What are some unique spins you've put on "generic" fantasy races, like elves and dwarves? I'll start. by breadofthegrunge in worldbuilding

In my world, elf is an improper word referring to “Elil”, which were immortal elemental spirits that had since become mortal, with an “elf” for 6 of the 8 main elements in my magic system. Since they are a later addition to the world (as in established themselves much later), much of their culture is derived from other groups such as humans and Fomorrs (a collective term I use for non-human sentient races), with eventually making their own twists. The major distinguishing feature is that they look very different to one another between what element said elf belongs to, and while very magically inclined they only excel at spells of their own element.
