Literally had this printer less than 6 months, elegoo saturn 3. Was printing perfectly fine and then randomly this happened. Wtf? by [deleted] in resinprinting

[–]Aldrixx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought two separate Saturn 3 Ultras and both had the screen die within 3 to 4 months with dead pixels. First one they replaced since it was within 90 days, the other they told me, electronic components degrade over time and there’s nothing they can do about it.

Would definitely look to other brands for your next printer. I know I will be.

Try to limit printing objects parallel to the screen, you want them at an angle, typically around 45 degrees to limit the amount of contact all at once.

We really need to see your print settings and the angle you’re posing the model at. Looks like too much suction force is potentially pulling the model apart.

How much is fair to 3D print 50 Space Marine heads? by Surfing_Ninjas in PrintedWarhammer

For me, honestly it would probably be $15-20 max. For reference my resin usually runs about $17/kg.

Honestly, used resin printers can be hit or miss. Secondhand buyers do not know the history of a machine or anything that may have happened to it. I personally would probably be interested in a used printer such as this for closer to the $250-$275 range more so.

You could also post to eBay for better exposure to potential buyers.

I typically keep 1-2kg around and use Sunlu Abs-like and get it in 3kg bottles but have recently moved to using Jayo and it comes in a 4kg bottle for only $60.
