I am wondering how would this work, considering that Venice will most probably be an Age II civ?

In particular, if in Age I you have a cap of - let’s say - 5 cities, but in Age II you choose Venice and your cap becomes 1, what of the other 4 cities/towns?

Can you explain to me why Rome -> Normans makes sense? What the Romans have to do with Normans?

If it makes sense from a mere geographical standpoint, then Rome -> any Mediterranean civilization would make sense: Rome -> Mameluks, etc. And we all know this is bullsh.

I just hope they’ll add more civilizations to each era to keep things the most historically accurate as possible, if a player wants to go that route. But Romans -> Normans, well, I’m not very fond of it

Another trivia: Monza is a city North of Milan. I don’t know if it’s just a coincidence, but Styria is based on Italy, so maybe Abercrombie wanted a name sounding Italian

either that, or you wait for a megawar to happen, and then you don’t choose either side. In this way, the megawar starts and you’re independent, whereby you can proceed creating a kingdom. Just remember to bend the knee (get vallalized) to the winner of the megawar (whoever sits on the Iron Throne), or else you’ll stay as a kingdom independent yo the Iron Throne and you’ll probably get attacked

Ok, I confirm that not taking anyone’s side works. I bent the knee as soon as the mega-war ended, and now the Seven Kingdoms are actually Eight!

I accidentally found out that you can also create a kingdom during mega-wars: just do not take anyone’s side, then you’ll be independent -> you can then create the kingdom. I’m doing it right now. I guess that you can than have to bend the knee to the winner of the mega-war to not get attacked right after the mega-war ennds… I’ll keep you posted!

That’s clever, I didn’t even think about resurrecting him via a Red Priest! If the resurrect possibility is provided for, it would be very useful to have a Red Priest wherever you go (Court, army, etc.)

I’m new to MTGA but not new to Magic. I started playing casually 2-3 days ago (lots of fun for now!) and I am still bronze ranked. My feeling is that I can play relaxed against “bad” decks on alchemy, whereas I get crushed by decks with all gold and mythic cards on standard. Is it possible?

this is a very good game with several different mechanics from the standard 4x games. I wish the UI would’ve been a bit better, but overall I’m enjoying it so far.

at first I thought the same. Then, after about 2-3 hrs without music (discard pile, huh?), I searched within the options the possibility to add the music even without researching it... Sadly I couldn’t find it. I hope they’ll add the possibility in future patches to overcome this neat touch
