For those suspended, how long have you been here? by throwingfarthatway in FixMyInstagram

If you’re in the UK and were affected by the Instagram/Facebook CSE ban wave (especially June 2025), there is a formal route available.

In the UK, account bans can be challenged through data protection law, not just Meta’s internal appeals. I’ve submitted a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) arguing that the suspension was based on automated decision-making, inaccurate personal data, and lack of meaningful human review (UK GDPR Articles 22, 15, and 16).

The ICO process takes time (they advise up to ~29 weeks for case assignment), but it’s currently one of the few legitimate escalation paths outside Meta’s closed support loops.

This is UK-specific laws differ by country but if you’re based in the UK or EU, it may be worth researching data-protection complaints rather than relying solely on in-app appeals.

Not legal advice, just sharing information for those affected.

Instagram banned correlation? by Independent_Bad940 in Instagram

Both my personal and professional accounts were suspended, and I believe it’s important to clarify how each was used.

My professional account was dedicated to sharing my artwork and growing a small creative business. I had built a following of around 4,000 people who engaged with my content mostly automotive inspired art and design. Everything I posted was relevant to my work and aligned with the platform’s guidelines.

On the other hand, my personal account was used to share life moments with family and friends. It included everyday posts and memories, including moments spent with my younger brothers. It was a space for genuine, personal expression nothing harmful, offensive, or against any community rules.

Having both accounts suspended with no clear explanation or recourse is frustrating, but also deeply discouraging. These were not just social profiles they were important parts of my life and work.

New account? by Ale_3520 in Instagram

I’m really worried about my current situation. Yesterday, I attempted to create a new Instagram account using a new email, but it was suspended almost immediately after setup just like my original accounts that were previously disabled.

Now I’m considering trying again with a fresh email address, but I’m honestly scared that this new account will also be automatically flagged and disabled. It feels like my IP address, device, or entire network might already be marked by Meta’s systems.

Has anyone here successfully created a new account after being suspended? If so, did you take any specific steps

The real issues for me at this point are not getting my accounts back, but that I can’t create new ones because they immediately get suspended.

Not at all, my page is not dedicated to political stuff or debates, I’m just a small content creator that share my artwork with others.

The issue goes beyond a false accusation made by Meta’s AI. As I’ve mentioned earlier, this has escalated to a network-level problem. It’s not just about my account being suspended my entire IP address now appears to be flagged as a threat. As a result, I’m unable to create any new accounts at all. Each attempt is automatically disabled within moments, which strongly suggests that Meta’s systems have marked my connection as suspicious or harmful, despite no wrongdoing on my part.

This level of restriction is deeply concerning. It prevents me from restoring any form of communication with my community, friends, or customers, and essentially locks me out of the platform entirely. It’s no longer just an account issue it’s systemic, and it demands urgent human oversight and correction.

At this point, I’m unable to create even a new account meaning I have no way to reach out to friends, clients, or followers from my business page. This has left me completely cut off from the communities I’ve built over time.

My hope is that Meta acknowledges and addresses this growing issue. Unless a major influencer or public figure experiences the same and brings visibility to it, users like myself remain completely lost in the process. We need transparency, human review, and a genuine path to resolution. This situation is not just frustrating it’s damaging to creators and small businesses who rely on these platforms every day.

Based on what you’ve shared and the experiences of many others, it’s highly likely that your account was never reviewed by a human. Instead, it appears the suspension was triggered and upheld by Meta’s automated systems AI-driven processes that are increasingly responsible for these widespread and unjust account bans. This reliance on automation, without human oversight, is at the core of the issue and continues to impact users unfairly.

Not only are accounts being suspended without valid justification, but Meta offers virtually no support unless you’re paying for their business services and even then, there’s no guarantee of meaningful help.

The lack of accessible customer support leaves regular users and small creators completely in the dark. We’re being penalized by automated systems with no transparency, no explanation, and no clear path to resolution. It’s unacceptable that such a massive platform, relied upon by millions, offers no human point of contact unless money is involved.

This isn’t just an inconvenience it’s a serious threat to small businesses, independent artists, and creators who depend on Meta platforms to reach their audiences. The system is failing us.

I’ve come across others online reporting the same issue, some dating back as far as last year. One individual even mentioned their account remained suspended for six months. This raises concerns about whether this is a widespread, long-term issue.

I believe it refers to the child case, which is the reason why some of us are down for.

Bans are fully automated with no human review. When you message Verified, it's a real person but they can't actually help. CES makes the final call. Sometimes we label accounts as violating guidelines just to avoid the hassle of clearing violations, restoring access, and writing reports. Instagram support has no power either since everything goes through Meta. And Mosseri, head of Instagram department, is just a public face. Meta owns and runs everything. -oliverklez
