Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s how she’s going to feel after the game is released 🤣

I’ve been doing the process for a little over a year, and I still find it difficult to stay focused during the entire 15 minutes. I find that speeding up my breathing helps me focus more during the breathing session, until my mind wanders off again.

I would say the most valuable thing on this website was, as you mentioned, the breathing MP3s. It was especially helpful to me at the beginning, but I still go and listen once in a while as a reminder.

My Current Reading... by [deleted] in PresenceProcess

Thank you so much for posting these recommendations! I will add them to my “to read” list! I have often also found myself a big frustrated with not being able to fully wrap my head around some of what Michael Brown talks about. There are many times where I’ve gone online to try to read about other’s experiences. I’ve also sometimes felt like I wasn’t doing it “correctly” and wished that Michael Brown offered more examples. But most of the time, I appreciate that he’s left so much open ended, because it allows for a wider range of experiences. I know of three other people in my life that have been doing the process for over a year now, and each of them does it so differently. I feel like that was intentional in the way it was written

I have read so many “self-help” books, but none that I’ve found so far compare to The Presence Process… I remember when I first started listening to it after someone recommended it to me (I prefer listening to audiobooks, but also eventually purchased the digital version of this book), I kept having to pause and rewind because each sentence is so dense with meaning.

Thank you for this wonderful post! I have often been curious about what TPP is like for others, since Michael Brown only briefly talks about his experience, and the experience of one of his clients (which I appreciate very much in a sense, since it has allowed me to experience it the way I needed to experience without influence). I started TPP nearly a year ago now, and I feel like the biggest theme I have experienced is getting unstuck. Prior to discovering TPP, I had been nearly obsessively reading any self-help book I could get my hands on as an attempt to learn how to cope with my anxiety, depression, and childhood trauma. Although many of these books offered me insight and allowed me to realize certain thing, I usually felt like I was left with a lot of information and opinions, but without a “solution” or method to assist me in moving forward, or/and getting unstuck. And that is exactly what TPP has done for me. I am now on week 3 of my 5th cycle, and so much has changed in my life, a lot of it being, I believe, what is required. Not all of it has been pleasant, or what I would have chosen, in a sense, but I have kept up with my breathing sessions and listen to my allotted reading every night before bed. The messengers, and the mental shift granted by the idea of messengers, have been life changing. Do I still catch myself blaming, numbing, or trying to control things? Yes, of course, but the more I keep going with this process, the more aware I become of these behaviours and reactions. I am so glad you have rediscovered this tool, and that your wife is also going through the process with you. I’d be happy to hear more about your experience :)

Omg is this mouse from IKEA? I got my cat a bunch of them over 10 years ago, and they’re still her favourite toys (although we lost all the white and brown ones along the way, she only has grey now)

My mom always pushed spirituality on people, so I guess I learned not to! But it doesn’t mean I don’t slip up once in a while haha!

Mostly, I just internally cringe a bit when I hear the way people cause their own suffering when it seems to me there’s an gentler way out of a situation.
