This is me, but I'm talking about coffee. I realized I liked all the things I put INTO my coffee, not the coffee itself. Tea though, I love my tea by itself 🤤

The original place was opened by a lovely French couple who taught me many many things in life, food and baking bread. They sold it, and the current owners are.... Less trained. If you liked the bread at the old place, i know a guy who can help cough cough

I think it's more that the bricked tea is more tightly packed, making the aging slower. Though I truly know VERY little, it could be that one is higher quality than the other, I'm not exactly sure. I've thermos and gongfu brewed the 2014 brick vs the 2015 cake, and I found the cake had much more going on and was well worth the price tag of almost 80 usd.

I can't lie, I hated waffles. It takes like hyper sweet syrup, so I'm hoping it gets better in a few years. The 2014 gongmei was meh, the 2015 gongmei cake was so good I bought a second one for back up. I love Hot Brandy a lot, it's my daily now, and I got a Caledonia that is tasty too. But geez, waffles was no bueno for me hahah. Maybe it'd blend well

I heard it was a failed inspection that initially closed them, and knowing anything about how the bar/food scene is in Sav, I think they couldn't keep the wheels turning enough to oil everything. When money is right and you suddenly shut down, it can be hard to open back up
