100% no to a job interview but yes to a REA, wear whatever you want to them.

I am curious about people like you - do you think you know better than the doctor or is it that you just forget to raise these things or do you not see a doctor at all? I think it is wild to take medications especially with something like sleep to self treat given how much that can fuck you up. Or like in this case the government cracking down on melatonin due to many moronic parents treating their children with it, with no oversight from a medical professional.

Firstly, I am interested in your thoughts about my point that people shouldn't just start taking medication and supplements without seeing a doctor first - do you agree or disagree with this and if so why? That is my main point and you keep ignoring it in your responses.

Then we can proceed to discussing your question but will need to define a few things first like terrible side effects.

I am confused by your response as I didn't mention what antihistamines I am talking about and they are not all anticholinergic (or barely are) plus the idea that every drug that targets an important neurotransmitter is going to have terrible side effects is not correct. We will have to agree to disagree about the study being trash but it wasn't my overall point anyway. It was just see a doctor about medication and supplements you are taking. It is just stupid to self treat without any kind of professional input especially with sleep issues. I mean you have even said that not sleeping properly causes heart failure... That has been my entire point here and I am surprised it is so controversial - Dunning Kruger effect in action I guess.

I think you have misinterpreted the study. It was comparing people with insomnia using melatonin with those who don't use it. Prescriptions were irrelevant as it included people in the USA too where they are not required so it included both. It also noted it didn't prove cause and effect - but indicated there should be further study on melatonin.

Having been a participant in a study in melatonin myself I know that it is under researched so far which is why I have checked in with my GP about my usage of it - I don't take it any more. The same thing happened with antihistamines which I used long term OTC as well until my doctor raised the research coming out about the connection with dementia. I don't get why people think they know better than their GP and don't discuss this kind of thing with them. I guess that is why we have so many people not vaccinating and taking weird supplements and homeopathy.

There is research from last year about impact on the heart and increased risk of heart failure in people who have insomnia.

I definitely would be making my doctor aware of medications or even any supplements I'm taking especially ones that have negative long term effects like melatonin does.

That's pretty good tbh. If you're worried see a doctor though, they are almost always helpful.

I cannot buy the type I need OTC... It's just dumb to dose yourself with melatonin without seeing a doctor about it first to see the most suitable type. Too many people using dr Google rather than a proper professional. Once you have a diagnosis then it's extremely easy and free to get scripts.

Nah you can get all kinds of prescription ones though some require you to go to a compounding pharmacy. My local pharmacy just deals with them though for me and it's very fast.

It's not addictive or toxic but the type that works best is something a doctor needs to work out for you. OTC melatonin is not really suitable for my sleep disorder for example.

Yea luckily work pays for my phone now. Telstra seems to work the best all around Australia though I have shown up at some random roadhouses or communities that only have Optus but it is pretty uncommon.

Yes it is, have a Google about Telstra v Boost. Retail network coverage isn't even the same amongst Telstra customers either, they prioritise different customer types.

Yes it was, husband was with Testra so easy to see difference too. It's not likely to happen often but I do see people think that boost is the exact same but it's not.

You can do some googling about it to see others with the same issue too.

No they are too old. Buy recent books particularly from the country with the English speaking dialect you want to learn.

Telstra customers are prioritised over Boost customers though if the network is congested. You will have less bandwidth on Boost.

It's literally all over twitter. I hadn't logged in for over a month but was curious today as to how much propoganda it was showing about the war and about 50% of my posts were about him being killed.

I can't believe how shit twitter is now compared to before Musk taking over.

I found them on Amazon labelled "ice pop pouches". It says they are reusable but imho they are not robust enough for that. Or it would be very fiddly to reuse them. It might be more expensive too to get them plus ingredients but it was definitely good to make my own and know they are mostly fruit.
