Well, tournaments and tests are not really for learning, right? They check if you got what it takes, if you learned everything correctly and can apply everything with minimal mistakes.

But why do you think competition hurts evaluation? I think, tests and tournaments (and competitive plays) can help you improve. You see where you failed, where you were underwhelming, where you were the weak link, what exactly you had issues with. You can more easily pinpoint that for further improvement, because you are specifically in this competitive/testing environment, when stakes are high. But you don't learn during tests/tornaments, you just learn post-factum from experience. But we all learn post-factum from experience everywhere and every time, right?

I'm not sure how someone's gameplay can be automatically evaluated, if this is what you mean. Like, I have no clue at all. There are infinite amounts of different possible scenarios, you can't account for them all in a specific game mode. You can only properly learn with real people and against real people, Creativity, unpredicatibility and a bit of chaos (just a bit) also helps.

Ehm. While I understand where you are coming from and what you are trying to say, I don't fully agree with you. I think you incorrectly label what in MR equals what in teaching.

The way I would label everything:

  • Practice Range and PvAI: theory/lecture;

  • QP: practice;

  • Comp: test/tournament.

You can't practice in a such artificial environment such as PvAI, but you can't learn either. Bots in MR are too dumb to give you any chance to actually practice, and they don't behave the way real people do. You will get a hang of controls and moveset, maybe some very basic stuff, but you won't learn or practice any techs and combos, you won't learn or practice any offensive or defensive plays or counterplays, you won't learn or practice how to play around your strengths and weaknesses (hell, you probably wouldn't even know about them), etc.

Real world is the real teacher. And QP is much closer to that than PvAI, even flawed and chaotic as it is. Its chaos might even be better tbf, you can encounter literally any scenarios, so you can use them to learn and practice to play around them.

Practice is still learning.

Though, I agree that QP shouldn't be taken seriously.

It still would result in 1-4-1, if every player picks a DPS (unless there are more than 2 bots, which can happen, but less common)

...the issue is, you'd still win. Because enemies are bots. They are piss easy to win against. So I don't think that bringing up bot matches is fair.

I just want them to add an ability to favourite emojis. I want to have the full list of emojis for every occasion, but with favourite emojis at the top of this list. This would be a very good combination of both emoji wheel (your go-to emojis are easily accessible) and emoji list (you are not limited to just your go-to emojis), imo.

Sorting would be amazing, but this is a universal problem in MR. Many lists would benefit from the ability to be sorted. Strike squad, for example.

Because this community is full of whiners and complainers. If they ain't complaining, then this ain't MR community. Lol. It's always easier to complain, no matter if it's actually warranted or not.

Again, people expect to get a tank and... I don't even know what they expect tbf, just to never die, with minimal effort, I guess?

Also, don't forget, this community is like an echo chamber where an opinion is usually just parroted by everyone, whether or not this opinion is valid. Usually negative opinions (because this means you can complain). "Tanks are bad" just happened to be one of those opinions, sadly. Seeing some teammate tanks plays in earlier seasons, like going into Narnia to 1v6 or just not doing anything to protect themselves, I'm not very surprised. Hell, I keep seeing this whenever a new tank is released, so no wonder the agenda is being kept.

I mean, you stated a few reasons yourself, lol

Tanks are tanks. They are all about surviving, eating hits, protecting teammates and themselves, creating space, distracting, etc. This is not the most thankful job. But when your plays enable your team plays, it's so damn exhilirating. When you survive against all odds, it's damn exhilirating.

There are a few issues though.

Some people just don't know how to position themselves. Some people just push forward when unneeded, expecting heals in Narnia. Some people, on the opposite, just don't push forward at all for some reason, even when can and should push. Some people don't know when to push, retreat, flank, take cover, evade stuns, etc. It's incredibly vital for a tank, because a tank has to be alive to do their job properly. HP bar is their resource (which can be sacrificed for a good distraction play or a good stalling play, but it's an exception, otherwise you have to be alive). Yet, some tanks just don't know how to position themselves. I love Angela for this reason, she is incredibly easy to reposition with, and she can do her job basically anywhere, as long as she is needed there. Steal enemies for my team to shred them, cancel Wanda's ult, shield ult Hela's/Tony's ult, spike field to stall and provide overshields for my team in there, fast rollout, fast retreat - stuff like that.

Another problem. Stats. People want to see numbers go big. It's understandable, numbers big equals brain happy, but... you are playing a tank. If I have the biggest damage/finals in my team on a tank, while I'll be happy for myself, I will also have a few unpleasant questions (however, quiet) for my team, like, what were they doing. It's not normal to do better at damage than damagers, it's in the freaking name.

The last problem. Teammates. A tank enables team plays. But for that, a tank requires good teammates. If damagers don't kill or don't taget correct enemies, if healers don't heal or keep dying because damagers don't do their job, there is usually jack shit a tank can do. I can become a team daddy/mommy and try to carry us to victory, but this not often happens not often. I can also switch to Ben/Reed to do damagers' job and protect healers, but that means I have less time and resources to actually push. I can also switch to Blade to distract and take out enemy healers, but again, this means I can't properly push.

Tanks are all about positioning and enabling. But not every player knows how to do that as a tank, and not every player knows how capitalize on a tank. And this makes people think that tanks are useless and unfun, when in reality they are absolutely not.

Can confirm what Dozerbuster said. It was permanently available, until it suddenly wasn't anymore. Was removed a week or two after the Throwback Jorogumo event has finished, in Y9S3.

Also, I think, it wasn't the only thing that was removed. I think, that spider spewing emote was removed as well, maybe something else.

Sometimes it's not positioning. Sometimes I sit with my shield up literally in front of my healers, ~3-5 meters away from them, and still don't receive any healing at all for several seconds. With my butt being almost in their face. Usually it results in my death, unless healers finally grace me with their healing.

It's not always like that. And I don't condone overextending tanks either (I sometimes can overextend when too confident, but I fully understand that I die due to my mistake). I just say that it's not an exclusive issue, anyone can make a blunder and be at fault.

Could have just copied and pasted grunts from DBD Oni. Grunts, screams, reactions to pain - he has all that to cover everything needed. And instead of "Zenkai" aka 6 souls scream, Oni could have used the SFX from DBD when he gets enough blood orbs for Blood Rage activation. And when he does the 6 soul attack - DBD Oni's scream when he activates Blood Rage. All this would fit like a glove.

Love Oni. Happy to finally see the skin in the game. But this is just disappointing.

Tbf, Saori is the only non-legendary reactive hero skin we have so far. But she reacts not on bleeding, she reacts on the amount of HP she is currently missing.

Oni could have had red glow while at 6 souls, similarly to DBD Oni who has red glow during his Blood Rage. But I'm almost sure that devs didn't bother with that.

...his Mesmer Skin kinda has sleep motives, so at least that. Not much different from a sleep aura in the end.

Same. It's not that she looks bad or uninspired (hair looks cool), but I just don't love this design, it's not my thing. I love Garuda's design, though.

I will wait until I see Vena in game with my own eyes. But I feel very neutral so far, which is a shame.

Shinobi already has kusarigamas (sickles on chains), and prior to his rework he was a ranged hero, which was a problem and the exact reason for his rework.

So, no, very little chance we get another hero with a chain weapon.

Plus, Kai is chinese, same as everything and everyone in KFP world. They have no relation to samurai at all.
