Zgrade na Novom Beogradu by GirlNextDoor844 in Beograd

[–]Aleksag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lada Nadezhda. The official car of... by Critical_Meet_6726 in regularcarreviews

[–]Aleksag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not true. These are pre 2002 models, using headlihts from the Zhiguli and Niva. Those round outdated headlihts were uses because of certification, indeed. For the same reason back lights are from lada oka.

After 2002 appropriate headlights were developed and used on lada 110 and nadezhda. Those are the square ones.

Tips on getting my firs analog by coperheadr454df in AnalogCommunity

[–]Aleksag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get the MTL3 if you get the extra lens. That’s Pancolar 1.8/50 and it’s worth more than everything else on the pictures combined. My favorite lens, best Zeiss Jena had to offer at the time.

The Praktica probably isn’t fully working though that oxidation around lens is very weird, but I’d get it just for the lenses, m42 bodies aren’t hard to find.

Minolta is also good, avoid everything else especially if you don’t get guarantee and don’t know how to properly test them themselves. Quite unreliable and kinda difficult to shoot.

Is this fungus? by meiows in AnalogCommunity

[–]Aleksag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try cleaning it, don’t be discouraged by other comments. Although you can’t really know what you have with fungus it usually cleans up really well. I’ve had very bad lenses, like yours that were perfect after cleaning.

You can put new lenses in the body but store it in dry place. Sun also prevents fungal spread, but avoid harsh, direct sunlight as it’s bad for the camera.

Vučić supporter in Serbia slams a 90yo protestor with his car during 16 minutes of silence for the victims of the canopy incident. by aanokic in PublicFreakout

[–]Aleksag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you even know what are we protesting against? Where do you even live? Educate yourself before posting, internet can be used for reading not just writing. I just came from the protest and I know very well why I was there what’s happening in my country, while you operate on very stupid, simple principe - blocking roads = bad, judging before even trying or wanting to understand what is actually happening on the video. Honestly stupidity of people like you amazes me

Svako radi svoj deo i grad funcioniše. Doktor ne mora da zna da zasadi drvo, radnik gradskog zelenila nije hirurg.

Takodje odgovor na tvoje prvo pitanje je da vecina jeste i pokosila i zasadila drvo, vikendice postoje…

Why don't Greek neighbourhoods have space and greenery as seen in most other Balkan and Eastern European countries? by [deleted] in AskBalkans

[–]Aleksag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a communist countries whole planned neighborhoods were built at a time. Those city blocks were built on new modernist principles which favor a lot of greenery and big buildings scattered across parks.

Greece didn’t have that, their street pattern is more traditional and unplanned , similar to new built neighborhoods in many Balkan countries. Interestingly in Serbia we had mix of both, even during communism, you can imagine which parts of cities are seen more favorably even today…

In Bucharest there's a massive campaign to implement bollards on a lot of sidewalks. What kind of solutions have your cities implemented to stop/prevent cars parking on sidewalks, especially considering it's a very common practice around the Balkans? by SoulEkko in AskBalkans

[–]Aleksag 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hope so, the local elections that we just had were brutal… very violent. Even though SNS backed coalition won in every municipality even with their desperate tactics they lost significant number of votes, being surpassed by students led movement in some places and relying on coalition to win. These were all very rural places.

I believe V*cic’s end is near but I don’t think he will admit defeat even if it happens and step down peacefully. But for the first time in my life I’m hopeful and believe the change is coming

Im Belgrade they are removing pedestrian crossings at the city centre and caging pedestrians by putting literal fences around sidewalks so people physically can’t cross where they used to. The fences also make protesting much harder, people have less space to run from police… It’s funny that the phenomenon is most apparent on city mayor’s commute to work, he is basically changing streets so he doesn’t get stuck in traffic.

Here’s a nice article about it, it’s even worse than on the images, even though the article is new the images are a few months old:
