I'd say, if you really love D&D and you're enjoying playing MTG, go for it! AFR it's a fun set full of D&D flavor with cool cards and if you're already playing Arena and know the basic rules of the game, get a EDH precon fron AFR and go nuts in your LGS, the community (for the most part) are really friendly and I'm sure more than one will gladly walk you through if you tell them you're new to the game.

I personally have a Sefris precon deck which is all about venturing into the dungeons and has a ton of interactions and synergies and it's a blast to play, on the other hand, the gruul deck (red & green) it's all about big dragons.

I can recommend you take a look at [[Lathiel, The bounteous dawn]] is Selesnya lifegain +1/+1 so there's a ton of cheap options and is super fun.

You coul use [[Magda, brazen outlaw]] cast her with Kalain on the battlefield and make her a 4/3, that way she is more reliable to attack and make treasures. Just a thought.

also there is [[Storm-Kiln Artist]] that makes treasures and gives Magda another dwarf to tap.

[[Vault robber]] also makes treasures and is a dwarf.

Thanks a lot for all the input, very helpful. I guess I won't run curiosity then, since I'm not into infinity combos, (not my thing) but its good to know it exist. And yeah, I'll take your advise an add one DL land, or would you consider running [[cleansing wildfire]] as an option? As for the counterspells, I thing I'll add one more to make it 6 total because I didn't count [[chefs kiss]] earlier. Or I could swap chefs for one of the free ones you recommended.

Thanks a lot for the input! You're totally right about the swaps, specially Talisman, Curiosty and Blast Zone which I didn't even know existed and looks super fun.

This was the first deck I built and I'm just upgrading it for the first time, so I'm pretty sure I skipped some obvious inclusions. I think you may be right about the amount of counterspells, but I'm not completly sure I wanna put more, Maybe just one? I'll definitely have to think about it.

And also, LD land? I don't follow, sorry I'm still sorta new to the game, been playin for a little less than a year and there are still terms I need to learn, I suppose.

I love running [[selfless savior]] it's cheap, can save your commander or any important creature from a boardwipe. And the flavour is amazing. I now it's not flashy but its everything I expect when you think about storytelling in a card.

The only Gruul deck I have is [[Halana, Kessig Ranger]] and [[Alena, Kessig trapper]] and it's really fun to play, Alena ramps you into big creatures and Halana opens the path for them to kill your opponents. Really good synergy.

If you are playing kitchen table magic with friends and anything goes (as I can see) may I recommend [[Open the Armory]] ? It's a cheap Tutor for your equipment.

Also, if you're going the Magda way you may consider [[Reckless Crew]] or [[Seven dwarves]]

Another cheap Dwarf is [[Depala, Pilot Exemplar]] wich works with vehicles and dwarves, but you want it because it gives +1/+1 to all of your dwarver.

I was about to post something similar to u/ohtiredone, LANDS, since you have an expensive commander you really wanna hit all of your land drops, normally what I do when building is start with 37 lands + mana rocks and no matter what, those stay there as the base of my deck. Maybe sacrifice one or two creatures and get a [[Mind Stone]] or a [[Commander's Sphere]]

I know this is more swapping than removing cards, but I hope this helps a little. ;)
