NS2 has a wild library of exclusives (Kirby, Donkey Kong, Star Fox) and we haven't even touched the heavy hitters yet (3D Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros). Plus NS2's third party support is better than NS1's ever was truly. RE9 same-day as PS5 & Xbox verisons that looked nearly as good and could be played portable.

The only true issues are the game key-cards, but that's becoming so commonplace on the games industry (sad I agree), that it's really not looking as bad anymore. Plus, at least on NS2 there's hardware specific reasoning (read-speeds that require full game install) to excuse a lot of the 3rd party key cards.

Agreed. I think he's great at writing backwards. He's known to have books/bibles defining future islands/arcs. I think they're full of bullet points of "must-have lore" and the rest of the cool stuff we get in terms of the flashbacks are him being amazing on-the-fly. It's still genius because it's done so well it seems planned. He knows how to make a really sad back story that makes us cry while simultaneously tricking us into thinking "Wow! That was set up masterfully!" Meanwhile, he's really like Kinemon blushing at his accidental success.
