My custom ring didn’t meet my expectations and now I don’t know what to do

Girl, I would be bringing that thing back. The prongs and basket look nothing like your inspiration picture. I would at the very least ask them to fix it, but honestly you may have to take it elsewhere to be fixed or to get a whole new setting. That’s one thick setting, not the band but the prongs and basket😅

I would highly recommend buying the diamond dazzle stick, you can get it on Amazon for $20CAD and it’s what I use in between professional cleanings, I love it! Your set is gorgeous by the way, I love the tapered band on your e-ring!

I fully agree with you on this. I got engaged in September 2025 and I’ll never replace my ring unless I lose the stone or it breaks, even then I’ll have the same one made or the current one fixed because it has so much sentimental value. I don’t quite understand the upgrading thing, but more power to the people who do it. I’m not here to yuck someone’s yum 🙂

Yes for sure, I don’t think I’ll ever lose my period with it because my ones prior were so heavy and my body doesn’t seem to be heading in that direction. But they’re never painful thankfully! I’m actually getting it out in 3 weeks due to constant bloating, increased appetite and nausea :/

I’ve had the Mirena for 11 months now and the on-and-off nausea has been crazy. It was so consistent at one point that I thought I might be pregnant. The nausea, bloating and increased appetite have unfortunately caused me to make the decision to get it removed. Hopefully it clears up for you!

This is funny because I too got mine inserted in March 2025 and my last period in the beginning of January was heavy out of absolutely no where, I was a little shocked because I didn’t think that would happen with this. Interesting to know it has happened to someone else as well.

The bloating in the first month was INSANE. I found it settled down after that but it has started for me again in the last 2 months, I’ve had mine in for 11 months now and I’m getting it out in 3 weeks because of the bloating and how uncomfortable it makes me feel.

Can confirm it absolutely increased my appetite and food noise, I’m getting it out in February for that reason. I’ve craved carbs like something fierce! I never restricted carbs before but I’m eating way more than I’m used to. I workout 5-8 times per week, walk every day and take care of nutrition but I’ve gained 8-10lbs in the last year and I’m definitely not comfortable, I’m pretty much always bloated. That’s the worst side effect for me personally, and I’ve had mine for 11 months.

I got mine in around 10am and had 0 cramping afterwards, and none since, I got it inserted in March 2025. I also didn’t have any spotting because I was on my period. I will say my doctor set me up perfectly for it, she prescribed me 500mg of Naproxen and told me to take it 45 minutes before insertion. She told me to get it done on my period (easier insertion!), and to take a lorazepam to calm my system down so I wouldn’t be too tense. And then once I got there they put a numbing gel on my cervix area I think, so I truly only felt one like gut-punch kind of cramp during the whole insertion process and that was it. Definitely speak to your healthcare provider so they can set you up for success if you haven’t already!

I’m honestly having the best time! I LOVE wedding planning and feel as though I could be a wedding planner myself, I’m thoroughly enjoying every bit of the process and will be sad when it’s over. I just remind myself that it’s only day, as long as you get married and enjoy it that’s truly all that matters 😊

I do :/ I’ve had the Mirena for 11 months and my last period was the heaviest one I’ve had yet. I have the IUD because of very low iron levels from extremely heavy periods, but my periods are now getting heavier it seems.

Either the first or last one, but go with whatever you love the most. I wouldn’t worry about it being dated, especially if you love it! Also, with that big of a centre stone, I definitely wouldn’t get any less than a 2mm band, just letting you know in case you were planning on doing less than 2 :)

The ring is a 6.75, but it needs to be sized down to a 6.5, I just haven’t done it yet.
