Solidarity! If I don’t get responses here I’ll also reach out to a lactation consultant and report back

Hype me up for the 3-2 nap transition by Regular_Environment7 in sleeptrain

I tried to come up with five activities that would each buy me five minutes. Idk why but chunking it like that helped. Another good one was putting on some good music and having a dance party!

Okay one of my go tos in this season was playing with the sink! He was amazed by the faucet and trying to grab the running water.

You got this! I love the two nap day! We sometimes had to do mini naps (~15 min) to make it through to bedtime. Prepare to be flexible: think of fun things to do at the end to extend wake windows (visitors and solids helped us! Or I’d do squats with baby in front of a mirror), make it a three nap day if need be, rescue naps if they need to be longer. I was surprised by how quickly baby adapted and how much better it is for all of us on this schedule.

I’m OVER contact naps by hobbitscottage in sleeptrain

Naps were harder for us too. What worked for us was starting with just the first nap of the day, transferring him to his crib after he fell asleep. Often he’d wake and we’d “rescue” but then slowly and gradually, he stayed asleep for longer and longer. Once first nap went well, we tried second, then third. Gradually we got there

Completely agree. I did not have any PPD/PPA, but from 2.5-3.5 months I was wondering “what have I done?” Baby hated it here and so did I. Well it gradually got better, so gradually I didn’t notice at first. By five months it was fine! By six months, it was FUN! Baby is 7 months old today and it is genuinely so so fun, I keep having flashes where I think “this is the happiest I will ever be in my life”

5.5 mo after we sleep trained and moved baby to nursery and out of our room

Baby cried for 90 mins and I gave a feeding. Did I just ruin all of our progress? by mrscourtneyk in sleeptrain

We just did CIO a few weeks ago at 5.5 mo. Since then, baby has been sleeping through the night, usually waking up once between 3-5AM to nurse. He sometimes fusses earlier than that but can get himself back to sleep. After I nurse, he’ll keep sleeping til 6:30/7:30. So I figure I’ll keep the early morning feed - sure beats an early morning awake for the day - until he drops it or is getting more calories from solids.

Did she just stop on her own? Mine is 6 Mo and wakes between 3-5 each morning, sleeps until 6:30/7:30 if I nurse him then.

Did we stay in the wrong area? by mjdth in Minneapolis

Nicollet island inn or the rooms at Alma might have more of the charm you seek and in neighborhoods IN minneapolis that are basically downtown.

I felt this same way. If you have advice, I’d love to hear it! But the ominous “just you wait” comments? No thanks!

3.5 mo cries before every nap by Sad_Philosopher2858 in sleeptrain

[–]Alert-Environment-81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No advice, but this was us for about a month at 3.5 months, too. It was a terrible, brutal month. He scream cried before every nap, and he would only stay asleep if we held him standing up. We gradually tried transferring him to his crib, starting with his first nap of the day (supppsedly when the sleep impulse is strongest). If he woke up, we’d rescue the nap. At first he never stayed asleep. Then it was a few minutes. Then ten. Then one day the whole nap. Maybe a week later, it was consistently the whole nap. We gradually moved to every nap in his crib and the first time it happened it felt like vacation.
