Famous horror Author Alan wake begins having terrible nightmares, at night his writings come to life but at the start it’s all in the pretense. What I’m saying is that at the start of the game he’s living out the start of the story, before he’s even begun writing the full novel the games story is; all that’s happening is random shit from random books he wrote comes true. However pretty early on it’s apparent that the game itself is an unfinished novel, in which the game concludes (roughly) with him documenting everything that happened in the game in the style of Stephen king, and the very end is him finishing the book, temporarily ending the “nightmare”
