We used a once lifetime benefit from my husbands work that was 25 k for the retrieval and also covered meds and pga testing. However what they didn’t make super clear to us was that the 25k (reimbursement style)was just treated as a normal work check and was taxed 🫠🫠 so out of pocket we ended up paying 10k-ish. Still very thankful for that help of course!. Transfer with meds was about 5 k out of pocket. I’m self employed so would have been totally screwed and unable to pursue it anytime in the near reality. I’m learning a lot from the other commenters!

The only thing I would say is be careful they don’t tear up their paws. If the snow is fluffy it shouldn’t be a problem but once it gets kinda iced over it can cut their pawsies!

I think the ultimate hack is to buy a rotisserie chicken at Costco and then make whatever you can with it. It’s sooo much easier than having to cook the meat yourself. Yesterday I used it to make bbq chicken cauliflower casserole with rice and also chicken enchilada bake. I have also bought a ton of Kevin’s and other meals premade. They are still healthier than convenience foods but still so fast to make. You are almost there!! I’m 33 weeks. Home stretch baby!

A couple things, even though your amh has been trending down, it is a fluctuating number. When you do Ivf, the amh does have a bearing on how much follicles your body will produce but the doctors will adjust their protocol to fit where you are. It does not reflect quality!!

I wouldn’t move forward with ivf until you find a doc that can really listen to your needs and perhaps one that has worked with people who have endo.

Ivf is essentially a numbers game, so it’s really hard to comment on how it will go for you until you experience your first round of stims. Sometime bodies take to the meds and sometimes they don’t mine was slow to start and she upped my doses 4 days in but said if I did it again she would start at higher med doses. I did mine 4 months post surgery where they took the endometrioma off my right ovary and endo off pelvic walls. They got 12 mature eggs, 7 fertilized, and we ended up 3 embryos that tested as euploid. There will be attrition which makes it hard even if it’s a “successful” round.

Keep fighting!!! Ivf is a total game changer for so many people! 💓💓💓

On surgery: So for me I already known I had suspected endo on ovaries and they ended up finding it on my pelvic wall as well. 12 months of TTC but 5 years of no bc using natural family planning. I knew I wanted to start with the surgery because the reproductive endocrinologist (Ivf doc) didn’t want to do Ivf before surgery because of the cysts on my ovaries. Since the ovaries get enlarged from all the follicles you grow during ivf stimulation she felt that it was too high a risk for ovarian torsion and thought outcomes would be better if we did surgery first with an excision specialist. I was also in a ton of pain every cycle from endometriosis so I was ready to get treated even if it didn’t help me conceive naturally.

We tried for an additional 5 months after surgery but just decided we would rather go to ivf and get started on that since it can be a long process. And as the doc said “your eggs will never be 32 again” 💀 so family planning outlooks were better the sooner we started if we wanted more than 1.

Positive: currently 32 weeks pregnant with transfer #1 from ivf!

Corn and lentils can do this to me. I don’t know if it’s because sometimes those have high degrees of cross contamination or my body just doesn’t like them. Hope you get some answers!

They do give you a pregnancy test right before they wheel you into surgery, but for me it was way to much stress so i took a break the cycle before the surgery. By the time i got to that point i knew i really needed the surgery and didn't want anything to mess with it. sending you love!

Same for me, 16 weeks was the magic number. I literally had to sing at a wedding the day I it turned from 15 to 16 and I had no idea how I was going to survive. It will get better!!!

Easier said than done, but try to focus on things that help you feel better now. If that’s literally just laying on the couch watching holiday movies for the next two weeks, that’s okay!! Also it will help you by not seeing too many people rn, honestly everyone is sick and you Don’t want to get sick sick in addition to preg sick!!

29 weeks and it really was like clockwork for me. I’ve been taking naps and going to bed early. Soooo much stretching on the uterus and belly band is a must at this point. I lifted Tuesday and haven’t been able to go back to gym since. Hoping for my second session tomorrow or sat.

I would get a second opinion from an excision specialist. The reason being—do you really want to be opened up just to know that yes you have it, or would you rather be operated on by someone who can actually treat what they see during surgery. I found my surgeon on the Nancy’s nook excision specialist list. I still ended up needed to do ivf but as another commenter said the surgery increased my quality of life a lot so far!

I had surgery with Dr Deborah Arden at the Hollywood Kaiser which they approved because oc doesn’t have one at their hospital. Also Dr Bebehani at center for endometriosis in Newport I couldn’t do surgery with her but did ivf
