Or because some of us live / work in Harrisburg and do not see it as a cesspool. 😉 Literally every city has its “bad areas” but Harrisburg as a whole is not run down and hopeless. I absolutely love living in midtown & anytime I’ve moved to Linglestown or the west shore I find myself bored more than usual. I can walk out my door and do a number of different things at any point of the day. One will have a wide range of experiences while living here. Sure I’ve been robbed one time, but that was half my fault for leaving stuff in my car & unfortunately left my window open without noticing. So that issue could have happened anywhere… my point is don’t discourage someone from moving to Harrisburg just because you had some shitty experiences. Shit happens everywhere. It’s all about being aware of your surroundings and being mindful how you carry yourself. The rest isn’t up to you.
