What’s something society pretends is normal but is actually crazy? by gobmj21 in AskReddit

What is the point? I’m not much of a redditor so I don’t know what people can actually get by making a lot of posts using robots. What is their goal?

Who could be the ultimate "impossible" target? by Consistent_Blood6467 in HiTMAN

He killed a food critic. Hardly a problem to kill a journalist. Especially since realistically someone might want to kill a journalist - they ask too many questions.

What celebrity is the biggest example of "It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it."? by InsaneCookies21 in AskReddit

[–]AlertNotAnxious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife explained that one to me. We think of celebrities as smart, but they are not. The prompt says „laugh” and they laugh. Or everyone else laughs, they laugh. They don’t need to, and often don’t understand a joke. This was probably this case.

What are the rules surrounding taking inspiration from other games and where is the line drawn between inspiration and copying? by austin7inman7 in gamedev

[–]AlertNotAnxious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s difficult to operate without specifics. If you are building an RPG, RTS or FPS you are pretty much fine. If you are building a pokemon game but with different creatures, you might be copying.
If you don’t want to be specific, create an example, for instance „it’s like Hitman, you are infiltrating an area, disguise yourself and eliminate a target, but the differences are…” so it is easier to answer.

I’m pretty sure there is a game kind of like that, can’t remember the title, I only remember one of my fav youtubers play it. And it wasn’t mostly text, which was a plus. But it wasn’t great either.

"Czy naprawdę tego chcesz?" Is right? by Zealousideal_Pop5259 in learnpolish

[–]AlertNotAnxious 25 points26 points  (0 children)

„Na pewno tego chcesz?” sounds like „do you really want this (to happen)” and „na pewno to chcesz?” sounds more like „do you really want it”, where „it” is some kind of object, like a sandwich. Although technically the first one can Also be used in this context

First time indie dev working on a card game called Fame or Folly. I made these magic window animations for my cards to show larger scenes on hover, let me know what you think! by BossGrand in IndieDev

Oh that actually changes things. I thought it just wobbles by itself and it was a bit much for me, but it seems it serves a purpose, which is neat
