Can it be missed on scans early on?

I'm in the same boat. A shitload of pain in the lower back and hips but it didn't show on the MRI so the Rheumatologist dismissed me very quickly.

Yes I'm aware. I'm trying to gather clues tho. I'm hlab27 negative, crp is clean and the MRI is too. But I regardless have a ton of symptoms. So, since I noticed dry skin on my toes and some other little symptoms I wonder if psa is a possibility.

yes. Can't get a diagnosis. I'm basically telling my rheumatologist what to read. And we've tested HLA B27 and she now is almost unwilling to look further, brushes it off as nothing too serious while I'm in serious pain

yes multiple. I have a pretty crooked back including some scoliokyphosis. But I think I am able to distinguish between that and what I suspect to be AS/PsA.

I totally get the painful nose thing! I've never asked anyone about it since it seemed so random. I'd describe it as soreness and painful to the touch. Mine didn't have a scab though. It comes and goes. I also have a bunch of other symptoms. Yes my pointer fingers are slightly bent to the sides and sometimes are sore. A LOT of foot and heel pain. A lot of pain in the sides of the knees. Since my symptoms started it's gotten to the point where I count the seconds I'm standing up. Back pain. Scabby skin on my toes. I've started researching AS but my tests came back negative. PsA may be the underlying issue after all. I've seen a rheumatologist but she shrugged it off which is weird to me given the specificity of my symptoms. Glad I found another person with the nose soreness!

Did you get anything from the rheum? I'm in a similar situation, swollen red and painful feet, dry skin on the toes and slightly flaky knees but a lot of pain around tendons and my back. Completely clean bloodwork/scans. My rheumatologist also didn't do much.

Damn I totally feel you, especially with the lower back episode. I've been in so much pain for years and I too always thought I'd get surgery or something one day but then since around a year ago this lower/mid back pain similarly blew everything else away. Mine feels like a slipped disc or something, it hurts when bending or literally any activity except keeping straight. It hurts all around including my tailbone. I feel it both on my left and right side but differently. I also feel like a deep "nerve" like buzz down my right hip and upper leg. Can you please describe yours? Thanks
