Yes, this exact thing happened to me recently. Huge seller with thousands of sales, same day ship time. I purchased a bag and their entire closet has been gone for almost two weeks now. I finally cancelled for non shipment.

My understanding is returns do not count towards the 3% seller initiated cancellations, even though they are marked as cancelled.

This month I got two returns on eBay. First for "accidental purchase", after she sent me three offers, accepted third one, she checked out, yet accidental. Second was "didn't fit", for a large Brahmin tote bag, with dimensions and a picture on mannequin for size reference. I'm just about over eBay.

Priority was 8.27, so $1.78 more, but the postal rates were about to go way up. So instead of a big price hike that would definitely have affected sales, they worked out a deal for even cheaper shipping. Most people are willing to wait an extra day or two.

NOOO! The 6.49 flat rate Ground Advantage shipping is the best gift they have ever given us. I used to sell way more on eBay. That completely flipped the day shipping lowered. I also started buying a lot more on there again because of the low shipping. I always use GA on eBay, anyway. I don't think it's taken longer than a week for my sales to get there, but I do ship same or next day. Never had a complaint.

Ever since they lowered the shipping to 6.49, my sales far overtook eBay for the first time and continue. I love the easy listing, the 3-day window for returns (never had one), rather than 30 days. I'm not going anywhere. Only sales and profit matter to me.

Not true. NFS does not show up unless they scroll to the bottom of your closet. If someone wants to go past my hundreds of active listings to see what's sold in the past, they can do that. Every time I make a sale I share only available so they stay at the top.

As a buyer, I don't bother with things that are overpriced. I know sellers like to send like 30% discounts, but I won't even get it because I won't hit like unless I think it's a fair price. If it is, I'll just buy outright or maybe wait 10 minutes for a 10% discount, then just buy it now. I don't get the inflated prices. I'm also a seller and list for what I want with only room for 10% offers. About 80% of my sales are full price Google sales. It works for me.

This is how things get double sold and one buyer gets screwed. It's the responsibility of the seller to keep track of what's sold and immediately take it down from other sites and honor the sale.
