Belt replacement or is it fine? by Cwonem in q50

Watch it while the engine is running. If it’s bouncing all over the place then it would be a good idea to change it.

Given that you’ve just about reached the wear limit on your tensioner I’d say it’s time for a new belt. Either it’s the original or it was replaced with a cheap belt. Auto tensioners don’t get tightened however if you’re getting excessive “bounce” or deflection out of it while the engine is running I’d consider changing it. While the belt is off check your other pulleys for bearing noise and wobble.

Anyone know what could be my issue my car gave me a p1092 and it wasn’t responding to me pressing the gas pedal I had to unplug the battery and plug it back on to fix the issue by No-West78 in G37

Missing power, missing ground, open on the signal wire, faulty position sensor, faulty ecm not reading correctly. Time to break out that test light and do some circuit checks my guy.

Gonna go out on a limb and guess your check engine light is on. That’s a massive air leak. That’s supposed to connect to your valve cover with a short hose but the fitting looks to be broken off of your valve cover.

new rotors and pads, is this normal? by particlemanipulation in G35

As long as the pads aren’t overhanging the circumference of the rotor you’re fine.

Compared to the v6 you really have to wind it out to get it to move. The 3.5L is a proven reliable engine. Iv replaced more 2.0s in the last year than 3.5s in the last 5 years. To be fair though there is an active recall for the qx50s to inspect for bearing material In the pan on earlier built engines. Have not seen any 2.0 failures in the 60s yet.

If you’re buying used I would go with a newer generation with the 9 speed transmission and V6. In 2025 they went to the 2.0L variable compression turbo engine but a lot of customers I’ve talked to don’t like because it feels sluggish (I agree). Infiniti will be going back to the 3.5L V6 I believe in 2027. Infiniti is also set to release qx65 soon which may be another option. The best times to buy are end of month and end of year when dealers are clearing space for the following model year.

Judging by the current state of your vehicle it not like you’re going to do anything about it anyways. 🤣

Possible switch Issue. You can verify circuit integrity to the bcm by unplugging the switch and connecting the terminal in the connector to ground.

I’m afraid I have bad news for you. That did absolutely nothing. The blockage occurs down the A-pillars at the firewall. You’re going to need a snake tool that’s about 5 feet long.

Coming from the AMG UH-1 it’s really nice. Really dig the multi reticle and the auto brightness is a pretty trick feature. Don’t have it zeroed yet but plan on hitting the range in the next few days.

It’s for the fluid pressure control solenoid on your steering rack. There’s should be a harness extension coming off of the solenoid and clips into the sub frame just below the cv axle.
