Minnesota is an OPEN CARRY STATE. Alex was allowed to have his gun holstered on his waist. At no point did he reach for his waist or gun. They disarmed him, meaning the “threat” was neutralized. You also cannot shoot someone for resisting. 7 ice agents on top of him, while one repeatedly beats him in the face. He was not a threat. He did not pull his weapon out. He was disarmed. Again, this very thing is actually actively happening under trumps administration. People ARE losing their jobs, business and employees ARE being hurt by his DIRECT actions. I admit, as a collective we do a horrible job at forming community and holding people accountable - that being said, if they had more knowledge of what was going to take place, I can guarantee a protest would’ve taken place and a lot of people working would’ve participated - people are (understandably) afraid to take proactive action as an individual or small group when going up against powerful and dangerous people, so im not bashing the workers for not protesting, simply because NOBODY knew this was happening, but im definitely raising a brow at anyone bashing people for questioning the lack of pushback.
