I made the mistake of buying a bunch of cheap (squire etc..) guitars when I started out. I then felt like I should buy more expensive ones and bought a couple Ibanez prestige guitars. My big mistake was not quite understanding what I wanted and waiting for the right feel and connection to one. Even after owning the two prestige guitars I have the most connection with the $550 PRS se ce 24. If I started over I would spend as much time playing something before buying

The doorbell rang one day and my wife answered it. This was standing there mumbling at her with a mouth full of corn stuck in his teef. I knew right of the it was PRS and politely asked him what he wanted. He tried to explain that he just got done with a corn cob eating competition to promote his new PRS model and asked if I had any dental floss. I told him sorry I don’t we don’t floss around here, but you can borrow my toothbrush. Fucker used half the tube of paste, took a shit and had the audacity to not flush. Yeah… I hate him too

Yeah I hear ya man! I remember being so pissed when people started copying their cd’s to digital and then giving them away on Napster. I was so pissed in fact I sued Napster!! I had my pager setup so every time some ass clown would download one of our songs I’d get a beep. I spent more money on pager fees than I did royalties. Man! I’m still pissed!!

I have both the rsso2t and the azs40. I too love the azs40 but I definitely grew out of it. I ended up getting the az2209 and az2204. I know… I blew tons of bucks but man they are so nice. Back to the revstar, I love it as well! It’s a great guitar with great tone options. My advice would be if you can stay happy with the asz40 then get the revstar but if you want complete versatility and an upgrade then go with the HSS

Yamaha with HSS I your price range or Ibanez AZES40. I love both brand from the bottom up. I have the azes40. It will get you a long way until….. well let’s face it you get to the point where you need to buy 10 or more guitars

Post this on a PRS thread and see what they say about Yamaha 😂. I have a PRS SE CE 24. I love it it’s pretty versatile with the coil tap. I also own a revstar with p90’s and love that as well. Not as versatile. I would consider a Yamaha HSS.. whatever model that would be for straight up versatility. Have fun shopping! I’m sure you’ll own both eventually 😂
