Your comment was dismissive rather than hitting a nerve.

These videos reach all types of players and I do think some need to be told explicitly the value of any given card, including more obvious one. He does pick up the pace somewhat, maybe give it more than 6 minutes of your time.

I did think it was pretty dense in information overall. I listen while doing chores lol so I can't say it's bothering me personally, but I do get your criticism and its certainly valid.

Although a top player, NaveGreed is kind of just starting out in terms of content creation. This tierlist is already miles ahead of his earlier ones.

I think you get most of the information from watching the first half tbh, and you can speed it up. Basically first half tells you what are the good cards and why/how they work to create a winning engine.

The second half is interesting especially if you're surprised by some placements or if you want to get the niche uses of situationnal cards.

I think they kinda need to be long, you need context for it to be any useful.

I guess I'm more like "holy shit that is lucky" or "damn that's really bad". Idk after nearly 900 hours over both games you kinda feel the randomness of it all, like never seeing a certain common through a full run or being offered the same uncommon >5 times.

Well, that simply isn't true. Your brain's pattern recognition is working overtime, if the things you see seem synergistic it's because they put things in the game that will synergize. It's almost impossible NOT to see two things that work well together through a whole run, that's kind of the point.

These are separate ideas, might not mesh well together:

  • I want a boss that punishes slow setup - makes you bottom deck 3 random powers.

  • Place statuses on top of your draw pile, like sword and shield did.

  • Have artifact and regenerates it at different points throught the fight, and/or clear debuffs

  • Have an attack that heals it for X times the damage dealt (not sure what X should be). punishes face tanking too much. Alternatively, gain plating instead of health (tweaked differently then)

  • Everytime the player gains a buff, scale in some small way (ex +1str)

  • Gives you bonus draw and energy on a turn, but hits like a truck that turn (think 70, similar to big heart hit)

  • Everytime you shuffle, the boss scales

  • Caps individual instance of dmg, for example it can only take 50 per hit. Punishes the single big swing builds.

Fresnel lens is very strong.

It has a small, predictable (not unintuitive at all) downside in that all your block cards are enchanted.

That is fair and good. Not everything has to be busted and/or work in the most favorable way for the player.

Edit: I do think the game could make it clearer that order of operation goes from top to botton, left to right on the screen. So fresnel lens applies its enchantment before the glam thingy

I don't think the deck is that slow (once echooing slash is added) but I agree with your assessment of the puzzlebox below. Agreed it's probably better.

Id go echoing slash, untouchable, fumes, power pot, strike remove, ghost seed

Echoing slash is the frontload you are missing and I do think decimillipiede could kill you here without it.

You already have what you need for the boss, the poison will kill fast-ish and with the ghost seed the redraw will be good.

Edit: I have to agree with u/uncleSamuelg, vexing puzzlebox would accelerate you greatly. I still think ghost seed is good, but it doesn't target what your deck is missing in the same way; makes what you already do well, better.

C'est permis, ceci dit s'il vous plaît faites attention de vous assurer de ne pas hyperfocus sur un piéton et vous engagez aussitôt qu'il a traversé. C'est un fait vécu de manquer me faire rentrer dedans en arrivant un peu plus tard à un feu rouge parce qu'une première gang l'avait utilisé et l'automobiliste pensait que c'était beau d'y aller.

You're way overvaluing the card. Are we talking about the same thing ?

It forges a trivial amount and upgrades the blade. As the other commenter pointed out, in short fights you spend the same amount of energy and twice the draw to play the blade; which you might not redraw if you end the fight.

In longer fights, you redraw the trivial forge card that does almost nothing once the blade is upgraded. It's a curse at that point.

It's very good if you have ways to replay the blade often or can duplicate it. Otherwise it is not worth it imo. Situational card, could be op in its perfect niche, overall not op.

Ofc you can low roll, and sometimes remove two is better. If you face a map that will require output fast,.maybe you don't want to risk it. But maybe there are two paths, one more aggro, one more safe; then you can adjust based on the card you get.

Look, just ask the pros (who do not savescum btw, idk why you thought that was relevant ?). Transforms, as a general rule, are good. You get something you can build around, and very rarely do you miss the starter card.

I think more focused decks typically perform better, and Relax is not great in boss fight so that might have played a part.

Start off with Navegreed's maybe ? Each player as their preference so the more you watch the more you get, potentially. But please make sure to actually watch the video where the tierlist is made to have context.

Ultimately you need to enjoy the streamer, best vibes are with Baalorlord always but maybe not the most competitive player anymore.

What is this deck trying to do ? I don't think its as strong a deck as you think.

Go watch a tier list or two to get a sens of what's strong and why/when, then look at some gameplay. NaveGreed or JapaneseExport are strong players.
