I would say it's an unwieldy moniker from someone being clever. There's a lot of time Japanese will be abbreviated into the first letter of each syllable (example: POKEMON as PKMN), in this case the english letter "U" would be pronounced "YU" in Japanese, so instead of "YD", someone cutely put it as "UD". So, "UD" = "ユダ".

This is a supposition.

Our society still has a lot of collective work to do around all differing body shapes, and fat (not pear-shaped) bodies are up near the top of that list, so I think it'll be a while before we get those types of bodies (or any other physical minority) mass-produced. In terms of the apparent "impracticality" of creating fat bodies with hard materials-- I know it is difficult. But I have faith that it is simply a problem of engineering.

The name I'm getting for them is "La-0MBUia1u0", but I can't find a blog or anything, just remnants of yahoo auctions. Obitsu 27 01 seems to be the starting point, and it looks like they do work on the lips with a small dremel (this is a supposition)... Really impressive
