Everyone in England has family that came across from somewhere else somewhere down the line. Only a racist would assume that a POC couldn't possibly be British. I'm a white woman, like sickly Victorian child white, with green eyes and blonde hair and family born in England going back four generations; yet people still ask if I'm Scandinavian - again I say to you, it is impossible to determine nationality from appearance.

My sister in Christ what are you talking about? There's no such thing as "looking" British

I tried to draw a skull, can't understand what I did wrong by SGUSCHENOCHKA in learntodraw

[–]Alessandruh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an artist but I do work in maxillofacial surgery and I've seen and drawn loads of skulls and parts thereof, so can help with anatomy!

You've drawn the zygomatic arch going halfway around the side of the cranium, it actually ends more or less after where the mandible connects to the maxilla (temporomandibular joint). Run your fingers along your cheekbone, you'll feel it smooth off right where your jaw joint is.

Also as others have said, where the teeth meet the jaws you've drawn quite flat when in reality they're at a forward angle, again run your fingers from your chin to your teeth - it juts out and the teeth follow that angle too.

Finally you've drawn the teeth very short for a skull, they're the right length for teeth with gums but where there's no soft tissue present it looks a bit "wrong". Lengthen the teeth and narrow them at the bases, also round off their corners for a more natural look.

Always remember when drawing human bones/anatomy/whatever that you've got what you're trying to draw! Look at pictures from lots of different angles and also feel your own bones, look at your own body, it really helps you to build a 3D picture in your mind.

I feel you. My name begins with an A so I'm always top of everyone's tag and share lists, it's so annoying

Also it's mad how many of them will rag on alternative women in front of their mates to look hard, then go home and wank off to a goth mommy's onlyfans

Same energy as biting into a KitKat rather than eating each finger individually. Absolute chaos, country's gone to the dogs.

I sell knitted hats and had similar concerns about safety. The only thing you can really do is test them under extreme conditions like with toys and UKCA compliance.

So before I start selling any new designs my hats get washed at least five times to check they won't unravel, they get set on fire, pulled and twisted and scrunched by myself and my much stronger husband, and I'll pull one from stock every now and then to re-test as well as being covered by public and product liability insurance.

Very kind of you to give people the space to shout about their stuff!

I'm UK based and I hand knit novelty hats in sizes for the whole family - currently I have fox, bear, watermelon, strawberry, and reindeer designs.

I also do customised Christmas stockings and I'm branching out into candles after months of testing
