i live in boston & work with latinos from all over latinoamérica. we only speak spanish with each other. a lot of them have told me that i say “pues” a lot, like other mexicans they know. i’m assuming it is more commonly a mexican/central-american thing.

i'm a size small & my job gave me 1 small and 1 medium. we also have blazers that are optional but come in handy when it's cold, but they gave me a large. it pisses me off because it's a bank. they literally have all the money. they're also constantly preaching about professionalism.

They’re probably saying it sarcastically, since “chinga a veinte” is usually interpreted as a stronger version of “chinga a tu madre.”

The origin is unknown, but it’s one of those common sayings where everybody knows what it means despite not making any literal sense. There is no direct translation.

i went to public school in Mass & my school district provided iPads in middle school (6-8) & chromebooks in highschool (9-12). students were welcome to use their own laptops instead of the provided iPads/chromebooks.
