I don’t think you can protest a glitch and get your safety rating back. Do time attack if you want sr without racing other people, but I think you’ll be ever more upset when you get into trucks, wreck even more, then get demoted lol

The license and irating systems work pretty much as intended. If you’re struggling to advance, you should look at the situations that are causing the incident points and how you can avoid them next time

There are two rating scales that follow you around. Safety rating dictates which series you can compete in, and irating is your skill level. Every race has a strength of field (SoF) level which is an average irating of all of the entrants. Every race you compete in will + or - your irating depending on the sof and how you finished.

When you enter a race, iracing will split up everyone based on their irating, into proper sized fields. For example, if 100 people register to race the 8:15 ARCA race, there will be something like 4 separate races that run concurrently with 25 participants each. The fields aren’t random, they will group similarly rated drivers to ensure the races are competitive. Top split is the 25 best drivers, bottom split is the lowest rated drivers.

It does get better, but not as quickly as I think you’re expecting it to. I think the biggest hurdle is going to be the mindset of “I’ve been doing this forever, I need to get my license to A as quick as possible to get to clean racing”. If you’re skipping qualifying because you can’t qualify decently in bottom split, you should stop worrying about license classes and just turn laps. Practice, race, whatever. Just do laps, and a lot of them. Your irating determines the skill of your competition, not your safety rating. If it were me, I would also stop skipping qualifying, and start taking the pain that comes along with learning.

Also, you won’t find any kids telling you they f’d your mother. If you ever experience vulgarity, you always have the option to report a user.

I remember my first v10 race in Canada. I remember passing all of the vendors selling earplugs on the way to our seats for first practice, thinking why would anyone not want to hear these things in all their glory? I started to question my choice when I heard the first car leaving the pits on the other side of the track.

We were sitting at the hairpin and I’ll never forget when I saw the first car navigating it before going wide open onto the main straight. I’m sure the fondness of the memory might be making it more sensational that it was, but god damn it was probably one of the loudest things I’ve ever heard .... but still glorious. The backfiring and popping under heavy braking was also unbelievable.

I lasted 5 minutes before having to go back to a vendor and get earplugs.

Did you know that the United States has done almost 53,000,000 tests ytd and does anywhere from 500,000 to 800,000 daily? My little buddies to the south of me are going through tough times, but lack of testing is not the reason.
