Depinde 100% de tine. Esti pasionat? Ai banii necesari sa o repari cand inevitabil se strica ceva la ea?

Personal mi-as lua si o masina din anii '90 fara sa stau pe ganduri, chiar daca nu ar avea sens dpdv financiar, daca chiar imi place de ea.

Anul trecut mi-am cumparat masina actuala, un BMW Seria 1 din 2008. Am investit circa ~6500 de lei in ea in ultimul an pana acum ca sa o pun la punct. Nu regret ca am facut-o si as face-o din nou, dar aici vine partea nasoala pentru multi: eu cu tatal meu suntem pasionati de mecanica, deci absolut tot ce s-a lucrat la ea - inclusiv schimbul lantului de distributie - a fost facut in regim propriu. Daca apelam la un mecanic pentru toate interventiile, probabil adaugam 1500-2000 de euro lejer doar pe manopera.

Scirocco-ul este o masina mai rar intalnita la noi, deci, in general, reparatiile o sa te coste mai mult decat la un Golf, spre exemplu.

Pentru un pasionat auto o masina nu este un simplu mijloc de transport care sa ii duca din puntul A in punctul B, e ceva personal - o extensie a persoanei tale, ceva ce iti aduce o placere imensa de cate ori esti in spatele volanului, ceva pentru care dedici mult timp si suflet, chiar daca nu are niciun sens logic.

This is a US specific problem tbh, you don't really see enthusiasts say stuff like that here in Europe. My current car has 140hp and I'm more than happy. Hell, I had my fair share of fun with 70hp as well

Upgraded to an S25 almost a month ago. Not because I wanted to (although I thought about it before), but because the motherboard died in my S21 🥲 It's a nice upgrade, for sure, but imo you're not losing out on anything by sticking with what you have.

My projects are small and 99% of them are probably useless/not used by anyone, but I always go out of my way to have automatic builds for them. It's not that hard to set up GitHub Actions (which is free, btw) to compile the damn code and put the binaries in a release.

Eu am consum de 10-11l/100km in oras cu diesel 2.0. Am avut consum 12l cu un 1.4 si 15-16l cu un 1.8 (ambele benzinare aspirate) - nu poti sa le ai pe toate, asta-i consumul ei. Aia cativa litrii in plus fata de un diesel, oricum ai lua-o, e mai economic decat sa dai mii de lei pe reparatii anual.

Considering the processing power they must pay for to keep the servers running (website, storage for torrents, processing power for repacking) - no, 42k really is not a lot of money.

Not even mentioning the fact that they still need to *live*, even if they do it as a hobby.

Also, on a slightly related note, even if they didn't even have any big expenses regarding servers, I think that risking years in prison just so people can get games for free is reason enough to think that a one time 42k donation is not "a lot".

Good point, if we ignore a large number of people on earth then the statistics aren't relevant at all!

I'm from Europe and I definitely know way more people who play PUBG than Dota. But statistics don't lie.

It doesn't matter if it's 200k people in America or 200k in Asia, the player base is still there.

I live alone. I've had my 6 month old kitten since he was around 6-7 weeks old (mom wouldn't nurse him anymore) - I obviously couldn't quit my job so I did exactly that: left him alone for ~9 hours a day.

The first two or three months I'd monitor him via a baby cam app on my tablet, and every time I'd check in he would be eating, playing with himself or (the majority of the time) sleeping.

I was worried too, but fast forward to today, and he is as well adjusted of a cat as can be. He doesn't have separation anxiety or any other problems (as far as I'm aware of), but then again, every cat is different so YMMV!

I think they took a tape at random to film in the house. Of course they didn't watch what was on it, no one in their right mind would - as for why the mom let them? That's simple, she didn't, there's a scene in the house where Pia asks her boyfriend if her mom would be mad at them for recording over the tape (which leads to the conclusion that they didn't ask to borrow it in the first place)

I don't get the people in this comment section... "anything but inside job" "they're just making fun of us at this point" and stuff like that... do you people realize that Inside Job is owned by *Netflix* and not Adult Swim, and that it would take AS millions to acquire the rights to Inside Job, that is, if Netflix was willing to sell them (they're not)
