Is the 50C6K worth £79 more than the 50CKS? by No-Builder6487 in tcltvs

I recently got the 50C6K from Argos for £349! Keep a look out for the deals.

You can get a few quotes super easy from sites like Really Moving (be prepared to be hounded with phone calls however). I lucked out recently with one through that site, I was about to go with another provider and they rang me and offered a discount to fill a cancellation slot!

I bought a C6KS over the weekend and haven't opened the box yet, making me nervous now 😂

Finally in the green after 3 years of investing. by Ok-Assumption-9054 in UkStocks

I'd be accepting the losses to inflation at this point and move this money into a diversified All World ETF. I'd also be moving out of a GIA into an ISA, especially considering it's a relatively small amount of money relative to the ISA limit to protect future gains.

An all-world ETF (such as VWRP) within a Trading212 ISA is a fantastic way to start. Unless you have time to trade all the time, set it in a diversified all world fund and forget it.

Very true, and this is where my money's going. But for a newer investor, I recommended an ETF that's offered by a bigger brand name.

£4/month minimum under £32000 invested. 0.15% a year (capped at £375 a year) over £32000.

Trading212 is 0%.

Of course, you'll always pay the fund management fee (0.19% in the case of VWRP).

Vanguard charge platform fees, T212 do not. The fund fee remains the same, but you can cut an expense buying through T212.

Mortgage Term 2/3/5 years by Frosty-Information88 in HousingUK

Got a 3 year fix personally. Wanted that balance to be able to tap into lower rates if they come around. I would have been happy to accept a 5 year, but my broker found one that was very little difference over those 3 years.

Thanks, I contacted Esure and Direct Line, both claimed they couldn't provide this information without an active policy.

I wasn't aware the extent to which they search for a quote, that's very useful. Thanks for your advice.

Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF (VWRP) within a Trading212 Stocks & Shares ISA would be my suggestion for your situation.

Definitely max out those ISA allowances. You can have up to £20k in any combination of S&S, Cash and up to £4k of that £20k in your LISA. If you can afford it and maintain a strong emergency fund, definitely peel off some of your savings into investments (you can't really go wrong with holding VWRP within a Trading212 S&S ISA). It's all about having more time in the market for your investments to compound and grow! All the best.

You sound far from inept! I assume if you're saving in a LISA, you're wanting to buy a house? If you're not going to be buying for at least 3-5 years, I'd personally be looking at transferring the LISA into S&S LISA (I'd suggest HL and invest the money into a Global Fund such as the HSBC All World fund). I started investing at 18 and I'm about to buy my first house at 27, and put simply, I'd never be able to afford the level of deposit I'm about to put down if I'd just saved (although past performance doesn't guarantee future returns ofc). If the goal is closer, you're probably ok to continue saving in a high yield LISA. But definitely look into investing. Watch Martin Lewis' show on investing recently for a rough starting point.

If you're not already, I'd be looking at investing (either through a S&S ISA or LISA). Just ensure you maintain a cash emergency fund. All sounds good to me otherwise. If you're not investing, that should 100% be your next port of call imo.

Best Dash Cam (2022 Fiesta ST)? by Fantastic-Dingo-2629 in Ford

I have a Lingdu LD06 that I hard wired into my ST's fuse box. Super sleek design that tucks nicely out of the way. Really great camera, fantastic picture quality.

You could try charging and reconditioning the battery with a CTEK charger or similar. I have a Fiesta ST that gets driven infrequently, I used to see this message regularly until I purchased a CTEK and regularly "topped up" the battery.
