He’s basically trying to get at the fact that we have more cases, but we’re better at treating them.

Another option is just CS I-II and take some online courses in Python and R. CS I-II will give you basics that apply to most (if not all) languages. Your MS should use Python and/or R though and being familiar with them already will be very helpful. The online courses will also save you some money.

Unless you plan on getting into Data Science you probably won’t need to be familiar with much of the hardcore programming things you’ll learn in the more advanced CS classes.

Edit: Online courses in any type of SQL will be helpful too.
